No, Litcessory products do not affect the brightness of the lights, as long as your total lightstrip run length (lightstrips plus any Litcessory product length) stays within 10 meters/33 feet, your lights will be just as bright!

Reverse polarity happens when you plug in the wrong side of a 6-pin connector. The flow of electricity gets reversed, and the lightstrip won’t turn on. This is a common occurrence when setting up your project and it is easily fixed.

    Expensive, but useful!
    I’ve had some later-gen light strip extensions I bought by mistake laying around for months. I had planned on making my own adaptors, but I picked these up when I learned about them.They work great! Just make sure to follow the instructions on the listing and remove one set of pins from the adaptor (remove the small ones if you’re attaching a v4 to a v3 like I did) – you should have a male and female end, not two males.

    Perfect adapter
    This product works very well and it is extremely useful with the end inserts that allow either male/female connection at either end. The only con is the price. I only needed 1 connector and $20 seems pretty steep.

    This product does work, and saved me a lot of headache.
    Bought this fully knowing what other’s have gone through with it, and they’re right to an extent. For some odd reason, if you connect two lightstrips together directly, one has to be facing backwards. But that’s also not how this thing is supposed to be used.That’s not how you’re supposed to bridge two Hue strips …That’s what the little wire in the box is for.Slap the cable, that came with the extender kit, onto the end of the strip. Then stick the adapter onto the end of the wire, then stick the adapter into your hue strip and voila. Check out the attached video for a detailed visual.This thing saved me a ton of headache, and I will be buying more.

    Doesn’t work properly
    The only way I was able to get this to work was to flip my lightstrip extension around the opposite way. So the main lightstrip has lights facing up, but to get this to work, have to plug the extension into the adapter so the lights are facing down. It works, but now I have a twist in my lightstrip line where the strip meets the extension with this adapter. Hopefully customer service reaches out with an explanation. I’m leaving my review 1 star until they do

    Worked flawlessly
    After a recent move, I found that my old hue lightstrips were not long enough to match my new cabinets. I bought an extension kit not realizing that my outdated lights weren’t compatible. Rather than buy new lightstrips or return the extension kit, I bought these adaptors. They have worked great and saved me a bunch of money/hastle.

    L’adaptateur fonctionne, mais le “grip” avec les lightstrips est insuffisant – on est obligé d’ajouter de la toile adhésive pour éviter que cela ne ressorte tout seul.Sinon, l’obligation de les acheter par 4 est ridicule. La grande majorité des acheteurs n’ont besoin que d’1 ou maximum 2 adaptateurs au maximum.

    Diese Rezension bezieht sich aufLitcessory V3 zu V4 Lightstrip Adapter für Philips Hue Lightstrip Plus (4 Packung, Weiß)Der Adapter zwischen v3 und V4 funktioniert einwandfrei.Ich habe noch ältere Stripes der V3 im Einsatz und habe V4 nachgekauft.Es muss dafür lediglich der kleine Connector herausgezogen werden.Zur einfachen Kontrolle ob man es richtig angeschlossen hat, kann man auch einfach die Bezeichnung des Stripes kontrollieren, wenn beide in die gleiche Richtung gelesen werden können, ist es richtig.Auf den alten steht “Philips” auf den neuen “hue”.Andere die Behaupten der Adapter würde die Stripes zerstören haben schlicht und ergreifend nicht aufgepasst und versuchen die Schuld auf den Hersteller zu schieben.Auch hier gilt wieder, wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil.Der Adapter funktioniert jedenfalls und kann uneingeschränkt verwendet weden.Alle Farben funktionieren, die Helligkeit ist identisch, als ob kein Adapter verwendet wird, im Endeffekt sind es ein paar Litzen, ohne aktive Komponente, mehr nicht.Anbei zwei Bilder
