    What a lovely light strip
    I bought this item to extend my current Cololight strip. The strip has to be connected to the Cololight app which is not the best app out there. But this is forgotten once you see how the strip lights up and how the light sources change light and how light color is smoothly transitioned.Cololight started a great thing long before Govee, I have Govee M1 Strips and I see clearly that Govee just recently copied what Cololight did a long time ago (in terms of how many LEDs per meter and how the strip is cut and extended).I love both Cololight and Govee. but I am so happy that Cololight has much better scenes in the app (Govee has more but not as elegant and smooth as Cololight).

    Light Up Your Space, But Check Your Wallet
    I’ve decked my library out with these new light strips, and they’re pretty solid. The color variety is top-notch – perfect setting the mood. The app integration is smooth, making customization a breeze with themes that really bring the vibe. However, when it comes to length, they’re a tad on the short side compared to others at the same price. Seems like you’re paying a premium for the app functionality. While I like the lights and the tech behind them, the price tag feels a bit steep for the size. Cool, but you might want to weigh your options based on what you’re getting for the cost.

    Adhesive doesn’t like the back of my TV
    The back of my TV has a somewhat textured surface so I have a hard time getting light strips to stay on. They actually held on a little better than some other brands but I still have to use some Gorilla tape ensure it didn’t fall off. The lights are nice and bright and have a bunch of color options.

    Really really cool lights
    Going to put these under the edge of a kitchen island to jazz things up at night and they sure will do that. These are a step above your average strip lights. I love the settings. They are so mesmerizing. They would be great under a bed, under any cupboards or counters but because they are so pretty they can be on anything honestly. Follow directions on set up especially with the connections. I have a picture showing right connection. Comes with everything you need to install all 3M adhesive items. Highly recommend these lights.

    Bad product made worse with app updates
    I have purchased several strips of these led lights because they were advertised as HomeKit compatible and had custom dynamic features. At first they were okay. They were hard to get connected to HomeKit and had responsive issues, the app was buggy but okay. After about a year the strips are completely unreliable on HomeKit. The app no longer allows you to sync to HomeKit and is completely unstable with constant crashing. The custom dynamic feature is unnecessarily complicated. I have reached out to app developers on multiple occasions but rather than fix the issues they just seem to get worse. Don’t buy these and save your sanity!

    Could use more improvement
    Generally speaking, these are better than the typical strip lights. I like the different settings accessible via an app and the app is quite user friendly. Although it does have an internal timer built in, I have it connected to a smart outlet to turn the light on/off or voice command.I was annoyed with the pairing process and the requirement for 2.4 ghz connection. The process also failed 5 times before I was able to connect.The installation process is pretty standard, the strand is a bit short (4-5 inches) for me to frame around the tv mount. So I had to remove it and reconfigure it. Now, it is well placed and lit hidden behind the tv so the gap is unnoticeable.I would’ve liked a better clip or securing option for the connections from the power/light because it could come lose, especially if the power box is weighed down or if the power cord is tugged on.Overall, I think the light options and effects are nice, but little issues I encountered throughout the installation process and the price point pf this light knocked the rating down. There is certainly more room for improvement before commanding a $60 price point for this light.

    Really impressed by these lights!
    I have lots of light strips everywhere in my home. I saw these come up and saw the HomeKit seal and jumped right on them. They paired with HomeKit perfectly and away we went. HomeKit doesnt do IC control for light strips but the controller has built in 3 programs to make it colorful. Once you set the color pattern you want, simply use HomeKit to turn on and off without selecting a color and the colors come on. I put this in the gap under the lip of my headboard and looks fantastic!
