WORKS LIKE A CHARM!
I have had these for a year. They just work! Mine are attached to gutter mounts and have survived a hurricane and a tropical storm. I also have 4 other Eufy cameras for a total of 6. They are on the 4 corners of my house, inside the garage and on my lanai. They were super simple to set up. The HomeBase 3 saves money compared to cloud storage and it can be accessed from your phone anywhere in the world. The software with the cameras is good. It is easy to monitor real time or look back at previously recorded video. The software is easy to navigate and make changes to individual cameras. I couldn’t be happier with my Eufy cameras.

GOOD STUFF!!!So far I have had an awesome experience with this new system. Eufy customer service is the best I have ever experienced. They answer quickly and provide real support and stand behind their product. I can’t stress enough how the support and responsiveness has exceeded my expectations.Some things to note.. if you have a larger home 4000+ sf and have stucco/brick exterior you will likely need a second homebase unit. Do not expect one homebase3 to cover 6 exterior cameras around the perimeter of your home. I had multiple communication issues and camera offline issues until I split cameras between 2 homebase3 issues one toward the back and one toward the front of the home. After adding second homebase3 no issues. Cameras pull up quickly on the phone app. Motion detection and recording is flawless. The app is excellent and allows you to fully customize when and what gets detected on which cameras etc. You can also easily filter out areas of the camera field of view to avoid nuisance detection…excellent implementation.The ability to store all recordings locally on honebase is a huge plus..love it!! Love the solar panels.Love the AI that can learn and recognize family members and distinguish from strangers.. so cool. This company is really working on cutting edge features that I really appreciate and will leverage.NOT AS GOODThe mounting brackets don’t seem as robust as I would like.. they work but the eufy3 cams are pretty heavy and you really have to tighten things pretty hard to keep the cameras secure and prevent it from shifting under the weight of the camera. Not a huge deal but would like something with a little more strength and adjustability.I ordered a solar panel for one of the cameras that is mounted in an area where it can’t get sun. I wanted to be able to run a power line from the camera to a solar panel outside the patio to pick up sun and charge the camera. I ordered the panel from amazon but it came without a water resistant gasket for my model of camera.. the gasket keeps moisture out of the area where the usb c power cable from the solar panel connects to the camera. I called Eufy and they sent me a new panel which I was told would include the gasket.. there was also no gasket in the replacement panel from Eufy.. so long story short I still have no good way to use the exterior solar panel and I am hoping that Eufy will soon make these gaskets available for the eufy3 camera.

Dead on Arrival â Awful â Steer Clear of this product
Itâs been almost a month since I purchased this doomed Eufy security set. How much is the time that you spend on the phone with Eufy support worth to you? So far, I wasted over 1.5 painful hours. The S330 security kit that I purchased from EufyHome store on Amazon has a homebase S380 and 2 solar-charging cameras. Setup seems easy, but the homebase was never able to connect to my wi-fi gateway. I tried multiple Ethernet ports and the wi-fi connection as well. On the installation day, even though the homebase displayed a solid red light at its front (this is the indicator of a failed connection to the network: the light should not be red but something like white⦠â I learned that from Googling and not from the installation guideâ¦) it seemed to be connecting to the internet on and off like every 1 minute and for 1 minute and then it would go offline and so on. I tried different ports on the wi-fi gateway, swapped Ethernet cables, etc., just to rule out something silly. I never got it working correctly â it never connected to my network. BTW, my network and wi-fi gateway are 100% reliable and connecting and streaming several devices for years with no issues⦠I spent time calling the technical support: after long-long time holding and waiting, I was advised to uninstall the home base, reset it, and then reinstall using the Eufy app. I followed those steps, and after the uninstall/reset, the homebase completely failed all attempts to reinstall. Again, spent time calling, holding, and waiting. The tech support decided that the homebase was defective and that they will process a warranty claim for me and send me a new one. The only problem was that they didnât have any available to send out to me! They promised that new homebase will ship several days later on 7/21. Itâs been a cat and mouse game since then. When I call they tell me to follow up on the original warranty email. When I email, eventually I get a response saying that they are either a little delayed or something like your replacement is schedule to ship within 24 to 48 hours and that I will receive an email when it does ship. Thatâs it. Today is 8/3 and I got a dead Eufy on my balance sheet. I am considering throwing this junk back into the box it came in and sending back. Why? Honestly, this whole picture is very concerning: 1) Dead on arrival! â What is the QA process for this product? DOA is unheard of in todayâs standard products. Whatâs next? What is the life expectation for this product? 2) Long wait on the support calls â I could be doing many other things. 3) Almost a month has passed, and now I am in the email follow-up game, and no replacement â thatâs just awful! 4) Worrying about the whole thing: just not worth it! I wish that I never purchased it â itâs my warning to you.

I have owned wired and wireless systems from other brands in the past . This system is my favourite so far. The overall setup of the wifi and base in the house was simple and took less than 10 minutes. Cameras connected quickly and so did the setup. Outside installation was a breeze, I was in and out for 4 cameras in less that 30 minutes and was able to pick any location due to wireless connectivity.The AI face recognition and camera video quality is also amazing⦠and NO monthly fees, how can you go wrong.Got these on sale but honestly would have been happy at full price now that they are up

A friend shared with me their experience with installing a Eufy security camera system. I was on a monthly subscription plan with Telus and I was tired of paying the monthly fee and lack of device options available. The wireless camera option with a self charging solar panel was the deciding factor that sold me on this system, not having to run wires makes the installation process a breeze. The mounting system is a bit tricky and fickle, takes a few minutes to dial in the camera angles / positioning – but once you set them it is very secure. I live in an area that gets quite cold (-38C temps are common) the cameras have functioned perfectly in these extreme temperatures. My only real qualm is when there is moisture in the air during the day and in the evening the temperatures dip below -5C, the lens seems to accumulate some frost on itself and provides a poor picture until the sun melts the frost off the next morning. The range of the cameras is also decent, I have one mounted about 25m away from the base and it connects without issue. Try to buy this system when it goes on sale, it is worth it! The app is intuitive and easy to use.

There are plenty of wifi home security cameras on the market, prob even cheaper, however went with Eufy, as they have a great brand and been around for a while, and so far, im not dissapointed.I have 6x camera’s (eufyCam 3 with Solar Panel) operating with a (Homebase 3). Went with 6x camera’s as we have detached home, and this covers pretty much all the angles for our home.If you’re evaluating how many camera’s, think about what you want to be covered.Just to give you an idea we have2x on the Front Door side (just bcos we have trees in the way),1x garage, (facing the street)1x side of the side (facing the street)1x backside of the house1x in the garden (on the back fence pointing towards the house)One of the best things about Eufy, is the event detection.You can configure what notifications you want to get setup, and it does a good job of recognizing faces, onces its been trained with faces.Setup is easy, you will need a drill (hammer drill if drilling in to brick) with a 5/6mm drill bit, thewall plugs and screws come in the kit. (Pro tip – use a bit of painters masking tape to translate the mount holes to the tape > then tape to surface > then drill through – works like a charm)Setting up the homebase and Pairing the camera’s is super easy, as well as configuring alerts and notifications etc, very configurable.Its been approx 3month since the camera’s have been up – after fully charging the camera’s and mounting, 4x of the camera’s are at 91-100% charge (these ones get good sunlight), 1x camera is on 65%, this cam was in the 90-100% range, however as the sun angle has changed, and placement of the camera its getting a little less now, and the last (6th) cam is at 39% – this one gets no sun, but given the amount of activity it tracks, im pretty impressed, that after approx 3m, theres a good chunk of charge left on it.Battery life also depends on the activity you configure it to track, and i have it tracking everything, so its constantly working.All in all, highly recommend this kit!
