Amazing company and product
I can’t say enough positive things about this company. I had a small issue with my smart plug, they responded almost immediately and had my problem resolved instantly! This is not the norm here on Amazon. 10 stars for the customer service! Also a little about the dimmer plug itself. It is very easy to connect to the treatlife app or the smartlife app. It works flawlessly with Alexa and every compatible device i have tried it with. Do yourself a favor and get yourself a few. I know i will be back for several more after my positive experience. I wish i had this same confidence with other purchases i make here.

Good customer service – don’t overload the switch
Fairly straightforward to set up in the treatlife app. Was a little confusing to pair with alexa, but that is not unique to this company. Once set up, we were able to control brightness settings on both named outlets easily with voice commands.FYI, this device can burn out under heavy load – I would sometimes disconnect the extension cords from our string lights to use with power tools in the back yard, for convenience. I did this many times without incident, but one time when running a circular saw on the circuit, I burned out the dimmer switch (didn’t really think it through). I reached out to the company, and they were kind enough to send me a replacement. I would recommend them for their customer service, but just be aware that this product is not really meant for heavier loads – just stick to dimmable lighting. Otherwise, it’s a cool product that works well!

Getting Better All The Time
I’ve used a small handful of IoT products from this company- light switches, outlet plugs, timer plugs… so I felt like I knew what to expect when I got these. The outcome was better than I expected, though. While not altogether a super simple process, the Wi-fi pairing process was easier- at least it seemed so to me.The quality of the product itself was, to my surprise, quite superb. The plastic is hard and durable, and the cord is thick and also seemingly durable, allowing some pretty rugged outdoor use where needed. Of course, the switch is grounded, too, allowing for more safety in all scenarios. In my case, I have both being used indoors, but it’s nice, all the same.The controls are actually really nice, too. I particularly like the feature which allows the user to set a dimming limit. In other words, if you have it connected to dimmable LED lights, and those lights (as most do) have a tolerance limit at which they stop dimming, you can set the app to not be able to dim lower than that level.Honestly, the biggest downside on these things is that if you want to mount it, there is only one mounting hole for a screw… which is really not that bad, at all. One other thing to keep in mind is that the plug is a right angle. In other words, the cord goes immediately straight down. It’s a VERY nice feature for looking discrete and saving space immediately in front of the outlet, but not hand if you have another plug on the same outlet that also is right-angled. Honestly, these are well worth the buck if you are looking for an outlet dimmer switch- whether you use it indoors, or out.

Doesn’t Work Out of Range
We got this to simulate sunrise and sunset for the lights in our chicken coup. I first plugged a similar LED lamp into it while in our house and got it all set up. It seemed to work perfectly! I unplugged it, moved it out to the chicken couple, and plugged in the LED light out there. It worked perfectly for two days, then the lights never came back on again. I went out and opened the app, and it says there was no WiFi signal, so it seems this thing does not have any sort of memory or internal clock and needs to be within WiFi range to work. You also need to be in Bluetooth range to connect to it with the app, so this will not work for what we intended.EDIT: I installed a hard-wired access point outside specifically to get this thing working (I figured why not have better WiFi on the property anyway). The dimmer now works MOST OF THE TIME. The problems are now with the app. Four times now, I look outside early in the morning, and the lights aren’t on. I open the app to see why the lights aren’t on, and it says I don’t have any devices paired! I have to walk out to the coop to re-pair the thing every time this happens. I am worried the lack of reliability with this thing is going to throw all our birds back into molt again.
