    Easy setup and great flexibility
We finally added Ring bridge and lighting to our alarm system. Landscaping lights can now be scheduled and control via the Ring App. We’ve had Z wave switches in our system but these do not connect to ring bridge and do not have scheduling functions. Note that you must have the Ring Bridge module in order to use the Outdoor Smart plug. These units have two outlets that are individually controlled. they are called ‘A’ and ‘B’. thus you can control two different power functions be it lighting, fans or small appliances etc. There is a button on the top face of the unit which has a slight toggle function left or right. Each side controls plug A or plug B toggling on and off manually when needed. They are very easy to setup via the Ring app. Click add device, Scan the bar code and follow the instructions. Once connected there are the various options to create lighting groups and schedule on off times. The units are a bit large and heavy so be aware if you are trying to conceal them. They have a hefty high quality feel to them. Heavy duty power cord with right angle plug end. Very Nice

Another clever and functional device from Ring
Given Ring’s expanding well developed technology, this smart plug is a logical addition. I use it to control Ring landscape lighting transformers that are turned on by Ring motion detectors (solar path lights) and stay on for pre-set intervals or until motion in the area is no longer detectable. Having this level of control means that energy is not wasted during times when no one is present and that my landscape lighting comes alive with attractive lighting when it should. Ring’s motion detectors are wireless and link wirelessly to my lights via the simple and highly functional Ring bridge and my WiFi internet.

    Easy install and reliable operation
We already use a Ring doorbell and security cameras. Bought this (and the required bridge) to replace a photocell controlled external LED light switch. Easy to install the bridge and then link to the smart plug. using the ring app and QR codes on packaging. The plug works with only a moderate WiFi signal (Ring app reports signal strength as “Fair”.Easy to set a schedule for on/off specific times, but the dusk to dawn setting did not work (never came on) and switching the lights off manually after a scheduled start and then on manually deletes the schedule off time. Tech support indicated that this is intended behavior, but it’s occasionally annoying. Overall, works well and I will probably add a couple more.

Nice product, works well, really easy to set up.
Super nice produce, really unique and perfect for unique lighting requirements on older installs. No issues with installation, the unit does appear to be weather resistant with easy to follow instruction and customization via the Ring app on your phone.

    Great plug
I have 5 of these strategically placed throughout my yard. One runs my fountain, another one runs my gazebos lights, another I use for my light strips on my awning, another for an LED light strip on a fence and the last for a halogen projector. All hooked up to one bridge. They all work flawlessly through my Ring and Alexa apps. Have never had an issue setting any up or losing connection. Great that they have 2 outlets than can be controlled independently or as a single unit. Very versatile.

Only works on one Ring Account?!
UPDATEI talked with a Amazon Representative about my low review. After explaining to the Representative that I rated it low due to the inability to give individual members of my household access to simply turn lights on and off they told me to give my account details to everyone I wanted to have access to the lights, chimes and other things attached to my Ring account to solve this issue. So you can only have one account and it must be shared. Seems like Amazon bought Ring 5 or so years ago and stopped innovating their technology. They created a light bridge to connect to Alexa and stopped supporting their tech. So if you want, what we would consider basic ability to allow others to turn on and of lights in your home, go find a different product. The representative did say that they will pass this onto their supervisors so I suppose that might get the ball rolling but after 5 years of little to no innovation I doubt it as I’ve learned that this has been a problem for years. You can only control the lights attached to this from one account. Other approved users will not have access to the features of this unit. Why?! So any time I’m not home my partner has to ask me to turn on/off the lights because you cannot share that function with other approved users in your household. Garbage waste of money.

    Reliable
I have a Ring Bridge so I can control my landscape lighting, recently purchase another Smart Plug so I can manage the Christmas lights since already invested in Ring for automation. I have no other ring products but the bridge and smart plug have been reliable.
