    Works Great as Indoor POE switch, outdoor use is dicey.
    Using this as an indoor switch, it does everything you would expect. It was super easy to setup, just connect the switch to the rest of your network on the uplink port, then plug your wireless APs or cameras or whatever you have into the other 4 ports. The switch had no problem powering up my UniFi access points (2x AC-Lite) and seems to run quite cool, a good sign for it’s long term reliability! No problems here.However, I must mention that I would be a little concerned with its ability to be used outdoors. The biggest issue is with the power cord. The cord is permanently wired to the switch, and furthermore it is only about 2 feet long. The industry standard best practices for installing this product outside would dictate that you plug the cord into a waterproof outlet, and leave a drip loop in between the outlet and the switch (basically leaving extra slack in the cable so rainwater drips on the ground instead of into the outlet or switch). Given how short the cable is, you would pretty much have to mount the switch right next to an outlet in order to install it properly. If you want to mount it elsewhere, you can’t just swap the cable, you’d need an extension cord, which is quite dangerous and not something I’d advise using for a permanent installation, especially outdoors. My advice is to keep this switch indoors, or in an outdoor network cabinet.

    A major flaw
    This switch works well and seems to be well made. However, it has a major design flaw. It is designed to be used outdoors. CAT cables designed to be used outdoors tend to be quite stiff. In this switch, the design would require the cable to be severely bent right where it plugs in. We could not get it to fit, and I had to cut away the plastic that was preventing plugging the cable straight in, making it less weather tight. I would have returned it, but our install was time sensitive, so we had to use it.Edit 5/23. This switch proved unable to power a Reolink camera and a Wavelink wifi repeater at the same time. It is supposed to have 8 POE ports, but apparently can only power one at a time. Junk.

    After about 2 months of use, it’s a staple in my home network
    I’ve been using an Eero for the last year or so. It came with my new construction home, along with some Ring stuff. The Eero is nice, but one of a few complaints is that there is only one Ethernet out port. My house came with Ethernet pre-wired, and there are 5 separate RJ-45 cables to plug in. I was initially planning on just getting a regular old ethernet switch, but then I was entertaining the idea of a PoE security camera to monitor my 3D printer.Enter the MokerLink switch.There are 4 different RJ45 outputs, each with 1 Gigabit speed. This won’t cut it for commercial settings where many computers are being used at one time, but in my home where we have 500Mbit internet and a single home server, I don’t need 10gbit. This works perfectly fine.I’m unaware as to the specifics of power over ethernet, but my experience is that this switch will power at least two security cameras. I’m unsure as to how much power it can supply (at first I thought it was power passthrough only) but for any considerable power draw you’ll need to look into a PoE injector.I also use this as a typical switch, which turns out to be very useful. It serves my home PC, a KVM-over-ethernet system, a second computer, and whatever else I need to have wired ethernet to. It handles it all flawlessly. I plan on buying an upgraded one eventually. This switch is great, especially with the reduced cost compared to buying a switch from an established network hardware company.

    Der Switch läuft gut und versorgt zuverlässig meine POE Geräte ( Accesspoint usw.) Ich kann mich nicht beschweren. Mann muss nur aufpassen das die Netzwerkkabel nicht zu große Stecker haben da man ansonsten die Abdeckblende nich mehr drauf bekommt.

    je possède le POE 5 ports et franchement j’en suis content.il est bien étanche et facile à installer.la fermeture du POE à bien était étudier et reprend les câble passage par passage avec étanchéité avec joint lors de la fermeture.il est léger avec un format assez compact.le rapport qualité prix est repsecté.je conseil ce produit sans hésitez pour diverses utilités dont la vidéo surveillance.

Con 4 Puertos PoE+ 1000Mbps, este conmutador es capaz de alimentar dispositivos PoE como cámaras de seguridad, puntos de acceso, teléfonos IP y más dispositivos. Esta tecnología nos ayuda mucho ya que simplifica la instalación al eliminar la necesidad de fuentes de alimentación externas.Tiene capacidad de suministrar hasta 78W de energía y según la descripción del fabricante cumple con los estándares IEEE802.3af/at, lo que garantiza un rendimiento estable y constante para los dispositivos conectados.En cuanto al diseño, diría que es compacto y que se nota bien fabricado con materiales de buena calidad. No solo está bien en aspecto, sino que su diseño garantiza que pueda soportar condiciones climáticas adversas, convirtiéndolo en ideal para aplicaciones al aire libre. En mi caso, no lo tengo en el exterior, pero si dentro de un registro, pero aun así prefería tener un switch protegido porque es un registro que está en el balcón.Como ya he comentado, la instalación es sencilla y no requiere conocimientos técnicos avanzados. Simplemente conecte los dispositivos y ya estaban listos para funcionar. Además, el hecho de que sea un switch no gestionado simplifica aún más su uso, perfecto para gente que no tenga mucha idea, como es mi caso.Por facilidad de uso y su resistencia a la intemperie lo podría recomendar a todas las personas que quieran montarse una red en el exterior de una manera sencilla pero, no por ello, menos funcional.
