Product Description
Protect critical Household and Business Appliances against lethal lightning, ESD and EFT power surges with this specialized smart plug.
High power fire resistant Appliance Surge Protector operates on 120V/60HZ, with a max load of 20 amps 2400 watts, providing single phase surge protection and voltage stabilization. It is a last line of defense against lightning surges, electronic static discharges (ESD) and electrical fast transient bursts (EFT). It is designed specifically for Refrigerators, Freezers, and Air Conditioners with compressors and motors; but may be used to protect any Home or Business appliance.
Protects Refrigerators (up to 32 CU ft.), Freezers (up to 25 CU ft.), Air Conditioners (up to 15000 BTU), Dishwashers, Ice Makers, Microwaves, Printers, Scanners, Copiers, Treadmills, Exercise Bikes and Garage Door openers. Configurable voltage tolerance range from 90-105V (adjustable) to 140V.High power 20-Amps, 2400-Watts, 1.0 HP. Protects both large and small appliances.Automatically switches off for 3 minutes when under/over voltage event is detected. Automatically turns on again once a stable voltage level is detected for 30 seconds. Surge/sag reaction time of <10 nanoseconds. A joules rating is not applicable to this device.Color LED status indicators for easy monitoring.Flame retardant V0 German bell plastic shell tolerant to 1832°F (1000°C). Normal operating temperature range: 41°F to 131°F.Easy to install. Compact size: 3.15″ x 1.38″ x 4.73″. Light weight: 5.30 Oz. Includes a convenient 1 foot outlet saver power extension cord to support additional devices on double and triple wall outlets.
HIGH POWER 20-Amp 2400-Watt capability for large and small appliances
A common problem with some surge protector plugs is that they can only handle a max load of 10 or 15 amps and this rules out the larger appliances such as 32 CU Refrigerators, 25 CU Freezers, 15000 BTU Air Conditioners, Dishwashers, Washing machines etc. This specialized smart plug can handle up to 20 amps 2400 watts which safely covers most of the heavier larger appliances and devices. A joules rating is not applicable to this device. Never use low powered plugs or power strips for appliances. Check your requirements to make sure you are getting the right plug for the job!
SMART DISCONNECT for 3 minutes when under/over voltage event occurs
The upper voltage threshold is fixed at 140 volts. You can adjust the lower voltage threshold from 90-105 volts. This is done with a flat screwdriver at the back of the plug. A value of 95 volts is recommended. The plug will automatically switch off for 3 minutes if a over/under voltage event occurs. It will automatically turn on again once a normal range of voltage is detected for a stable period of time. The LED status lights on the front of the plug indicate a under voltage, over voltage, waiting or normal event.
FLAME RETARDANT V0 German bell plastic shell
Things can get extremely hot during prolonged power surges and an important part of a surge protection device is its ability to resist excessive heat and even fire. The outer shell of this smart plug is made from German Bell plastic rated at V0 high temperature and flame retardant. It can resist temperatures up to 1000 °C, 1832°F. The shell also has vents built into the shell that help circulate air to keep the device internals cool.
EASY INSTALL with optional short extension lead
Installation is as simple as plugging the SPD smart plug into a wall outlet and waiting for the normal (green) LED to display. You can plug it in directly or use the short extension lead to avoid wasting a dual or triple socket. Heavy duty appliances or devices should never share a wall socket with anything else. If you use the optional short extension lead, be aware that the max amps and watts will be 13 and 1560. If required, it is recommended to plug in the SPD directly and then use the short power extension on the secondary device.

Works for now.
Added for my refrigerator and microwave in case of blackouts or brownouts. I like that it has a 3 minute wait when nominal power is restored to avoid damaging my units it protects; similarly as my software start circuits do for my HVAC units.

perfect to protect my portable heater.
a surge blew out the portable heater I had in the bathroom.this neighborhood has problems with occasional surges and drops. lights flicker.I keep all my delicate electronics on UPSs, but I can’t do that with high wattage devices (e.g. portable heater, microwave, Keurig). I have other things (e.g. Roomba) on the surge suppressor part of my UPSs, but those can’t handle heavy loads like this is designed for.I intend to buy similar ones. maybe even for the refrigerator.

Smart design product
Using on high end appliance Sub Zero. Have had some area power issues in the past and lost a control panel, not sure why it failed, however voltage spike could be a factor. This product CFHS00200 covers low voltage and spikes. nice design. The low voltage is adjustable. Comes with short ext, cord which was very helpfull. Should have had it from the install of the new ref.

No more power surges to mess up electronics
We have a Ting sensor. During a time period when we had two brownouts, our older refrigerator’s electronic sensor for the ice maker stopped working, despite having turned off the ice maker when away for an extended time period. When the repair service took it apart to get the model number, it started working again (which was a blessing as the part is no longer available). After learning power brownouts often damage electronics when power strength is restored, I purchased these for every vulnerable appliance. All appliances seem to work well, and if you need to turn them off, there is a switch so you don’t have to jerk the plug out. I highly recommend this solution.

Protector works well.
First of all, this is an amazing protector and I highly recommend buying it. However there are a LOT of caveats on thumbs down side. 1) Seems home-made and is super ugly. 2) The outer shell is ridiculously large, so keep that in mind if you are trying to protect items on multi gang outlet (they wont fit). 3) Protector is too large to plug in anything underneath, so this device takes up an entire receptacle. Comes with a small power cord, but then everything hangs off the wall and becomes a dangling mess. 4) Comes with an on/off button placed directly next to the devices protected outlet. Many extension cords or power plugs hit this, and turn it off. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE design! But all that said, does it work well? Yes! A local lightning hit burned up my first unit and protected my LED TV and Stereo, so I have first hand experience that they work well outside the lab. I like it so much, I purchased several more for locations where their hideousness cant be seen. If you want to protect your equipment, you definitely need these protectors.
