I have 2 or 3 of these now: they are GREAT! IF YOU CAN INSTALL A REPLACEMENT LIGHT SWITCH, THEN YOU CAN INSTALL THIS SWITCH,(BUT THE EXISTING SWUTCH BOX MUST HAVE BOTH LEADS, HOT AND NEUTRAL; NOT EVERY SWITCH IN THE WORLD IS WIRED THIS WAY.) You do need to understand the directions to integrate with YOUR EXISTING ALEXA SYSTEM. but once it is setup it is great to be able to just holler “Alexa, turn on the front porch light”( or whatever. George Jetson should be so lucky!)

Easy to install, only worked a couple hours
I purchased this toggle switch to replace a Jasco ZWAVE toggle that was old and I just couldn’t get to connect to my network properly after a home renovation. Instead of wasting more time trying to get the old switch to connect to network, I purchased this one figuring it’s only $27 so I’ll just start anew.FYI…The old ZWave toggle worked fine as just a dumb light switch, just no network connection so I couldn’t automate my front porch light through Alexa.Well this new one installed pretty well. No issues and I was able to connect it to network using the recommended Smart Life app and then connecting to my Alexa app. Everything worked perfect and I set it up to make light turn off/on at set time. All great!Well…at first sunset the light comes on like it’s supposed to, but I wake up the next morning and light is still on when it should have turned off. I get notification that it’s not connected to network. I then also realize the switch is NOT even working as a dumb switch. I can’t get my front porch light to turn off. The toggle is NOT working. I shut down power, remove the switch and also remove it from Smart Life app figuring I’ll just try and start over. This switch is dead….period. I hook it back up and front porch light comes back on and I can’t get it off because toggle still not working. Holding down for more than 10 seconds per manual doesn’t reset or put in pairing mode. Dead!I pull the old ZWave toggle out of the trash can, hook it back up and it’s working just like it was before as a dumb switch.Returning this and trying something else as it’s total garbage.

GREAT but beware you may get a bad one and need to replace it to get expected functionality
So I finally bit the bullet and decided it was time to upgrade my home automation from legacy X10 to Google Home Automation using WiFi. Purchased a variety of products from Govee, Tuya, Gosund, and others. All join WiFi no problem, some program better than others, but this one while it works has a quirk that drives me nuts. It appears when ever WiFi or the Internet is down they start flashing ON-OFF. Like others reported no fun when your bedroom light starts flashing at 2AM. I have 8 of these switches installed and have found if I reboot my Cable Modem router not all but most will start flickering, 5 seconds on 5 seconds off until WiFi/INET is restored. I’ve been gone on business trips and neighbors report my front porch light or my kitchen light is seen flashing while I’m gone. Tuya Smartlife app is great with this switch for building scenes and controlling them from a toggle switch but this flashing has to stop or I’m gonna find another vendor’s product! Subtle but one thing I do like about these Toggle switches is the back lighting makes them easy to see in the dark…..UPDATE: I have nine of these switches installed in my home and some of them would flash continuously when the connection to the Internet was lost. My service provider was doing firmware updates at night to my cable modem and my bedroom lights would start flashing continuously at 2AM for 15 minutes until the firmware update completed. Totally frustrated I lashed out at the support team and they admitted this would happen when INET connectivity is lost but only on some switches which they considered a bad batch, not normal behavior. They sent me 3 new switches I installed them and then tested the theory by disconnecting my cable modem…..sure enough the flashing stopped for my bedroom lights and pantry. I walked around the house and found two more switches flashing upstairs so I asked them to send me two more and BOOM now they are behaving as everyone expects. My problem was not a WiFi connectivity problem that the support team kept suggesting. I increased my rating to 5 stars now that all the problems have been resolved.
