This is fully compatible with Amazon Echo Plus
Here is how you pair the device:1. Open Alexa App2. At the main screen, tap Devices in the bottom left corner.3. Tap the + in the top right corner.4. Tap Add Device.5. Scroll to the bottom of the list until you see Other, then tap it.6. Insert the pin into the hole of the motion sensor. The LED should start flashing.7. Now tap Discover Devices in the Alexa app, and let it go for the full 45 seconds. While it’s discovering, the motion sensor LED may blink, turn off, and turn on at random times. Just let it do its thing.8. If all goes well, the device will be successfully added, and Alexa will ask you to assign it to a group (i.e., the room in which you might want the sensor to turn lights on and off). Assign it appropriately.9. If this is your first motion sensor, it will be named “First Motion Sensor.” If you want to change the name, just find it under devices and tap Edit Name. Here is how to create a routine to have the motion sensor turn your lights ON:1. At the Alexa App Home Screen, tap the 3 lines in the top left corner.2. Tap Routines.3. Tap the + sign in the top right corner.4. Tap the + sign to the right of “When this happens.”5. Tap Device.6. Tap the Motion Sensor.7. Tap Detected (When Motion Sensor detects motion).8. Tap Save.9. To the right of Anytime, tap Change.10. Set the days and the “active between” start time and end time (for example, every day between 10am and 10pm…you don’t want the lights to turn on when you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom!).11. Under Duration, you can set the amount of time Alexa will wait before running the routine again when it next detects motion.12 Tap Next in the top right corner.13. Tap the + sign to the right of “Add Action.”14. Tap Smart Home.15. Tap Control Device OR if you want to turn on the entire group’s (room’s) lights, tap Control Group.16. Tap the Device or Group that you want to turn on.17. Set the Power to ON, and tap Next in the top right corner.18. Tap Save in the top right corner. Here is how to create a routine to have the motion sensor turn your lights OFF:1. At the Alexa App Home Screen, tap the 3 lines in the top left corner.2. Tap Routines.3. Tap the + sign in the top right corner.4. Tap the + sign to the right of “When this happens.”5. Tap Device.6. Tap the Motion Sensor.7. Tap Not Detected (When Motion Sensor detects no motion).8. Set the amount of no motion time you want the routine to wait before it turns off your lights (for example, 15 minutes).9. Tap Save.10. Tap the + sign to the right of “Add Action.”11. Tap Smart Home.12. Tap Control Device OR if you want to turn on the entire group’s (room’s) lights, tap Control Group.13. Tap the Device or Group that you want to turn off.14. Set the Power to OFF, and tap Next in the top right corner.15. Tap Save in the top right corner.

    Don’t waste your money
Never could get it to work. Total junkGet the Aeotec MultiSensor 6 instead. I’ve had one for over a year and it works great.

Does not work consistantly with Alexa
I wanted to use this on my front porch to notify me with Alexa when someone comes on the porch. To replace using a doorbell. I have a camera and light already so don’t need the ring doorbell (which I tried and didn’t like the size or the view). This works some of the time and not other times. It seems to lose its connection or just goes to sleep and never wakes up. Since my mother will be visiting for a while, I need something to let her know when someone is at the door. She (86 yrs old) and doesn’t hear them when she is upstairs so I put Alexa’s all through the house. I just wanted it to tell her when someone was at the door. However, I can’t trust that it will even work when I leave for work so will have to send it back and keep looking. So disappointed. I wanted this to work.

Very reliable, but battery health indicator is confusing on Smartthings
I have two of these, connected directly to Samsung Smartthings hub v3 (Aeotec). They have been very reliable, with a reasonable cooldown time of approx 30s. I have not been plagued with false alerts etc, but one thing that did surprise me is the battery life indicator said 85% when the unit went offline. The first set of replacement batteries I put in did not work either, so I thought it had died. When the second one “failed” a month later, again I did the same battery replacement with the same result. Then I decided to try a final time with a recently manufactured brand-new battery (the other ones were new but had sat on the shelf for a few years). This new set of batteries worked immediately. And the sensor range is even more impressive than when it was new. The reliable detection range is 8.5 meters (28ft). I have to mark the Alexa integration at 3/5 because I don’t have Alexa, so to be fair, I mark it as neutral as possible. For Smartthings I initially had to install it with a custom edge driver (Feb 2022) before it worked, but when I last checked (June 2023) it is natively supported and recognised. Pairing was breeze, adding it through a repeater took about 1min to scan, but that is normal for many devices. over-all, this is a unit I would happily buy again (and am), I would make a habit of replacing the batteries annually to keep the performance as good as possible.
