Won’t connect to Smart Life
I’ve installed many of these types of switches from other brands and never had an issue. eMylo refuses to connect to Smart Life.I tried everything to troubleshoot:- Restarted the device and made sure it was in pairing mode (fast LED blinking)- Restarted my phone- Made sure I was connected to a 2g wifi network and close to the router- Re-install Smart LifeThe user manual doesn’t even tell you what device name to look for in the list of devices when manually pairing on Smart Life.I bought the Colorock Smart wifi Switch and it worked immediately, avoid eMylo.

Worked well, but failed within first year
The device is easy to install, except that the terminals are small for standard 14 gauge house wire. I ended up using 16 gauge stranded wire, then used wire nuts to connect to house wiring. The unit connected easily to the Smart Life app. Unfortunately, I have had two of these fail within the first year. The first one failed after about 8 months. It wouldn’t connect to the appl Then I replaced it with a second one I had already purchased and it failed in about 2 months. It also lost connection, and was ‘stuck on’. These were mounted in an outlet box that was outside but away from the sun and weather.

Fell apart – and – does not work with “standard” gauge solid house wiring
Bought two of these. On the first one, the wire clamp/connection broke off the circuit board (and no, I was not treating it harshly). On the second one, (and this is using “standard” gauge (sorry, don’t know what that is) house wiring) I could not fit the wire into the receptacle while also being able to tighten down the screw, making that second unit unusable as well.
