I’m using it indoors to control a string of LED lights that are illuminating the border of the top of my entertainment center which is decorated with a large Nativity scene with many pieces and accessories. It’s under a big screen TV so over head lighting isn’t practical

A step-saver!
Getting this was cheaper than having an electrician run a line to the chicken coop. I got them a ceiling fan, and with this I was able to turn it off from the house at night after things had cooled down. Saved me from trips out in the dark and probably a fall or two. A good investment.

Have a patio light string that plugs into a receptacle high up on an outside wall. Very difficult to plug in the light string. This is a perfect solution, works great.

We previously tried a different model that required that the transmitter and receiver be “paired” so that they would recognize each other. Supposedly this pairing was pre-configured at the factory, but it did not work and we were unable to re-set the pairing so that these devices could speak to each other.This one “just worked”, immediately and as expected. However, since you cannot select a different channel there is the chance that if your neighbor had the identical unit they could control your device and vice versa – that’s the only reason for less than 5 stars. We have no need to use it over a distance of about 10 meters (30 feet), but that works reliably. We’ve had it about a week. If it misbehaves early in life we’ll update the review.

Very happy with it. Use it so I can turn on my block heater for my truck about 3 hours before I want to use the truck. Had to position timer but this suits me better. Have it in my garage, truck is outside in up to -40 C° will turn on from inside my house!
