My house has (had) one of the whole house intercoms that included a doorbell. The system quit working some time ago, and the exterior speaker dry-rotted. I tried an inexpensive (chime only) doorbell, but it worked inconsistently due to the range to the receiver.I had a couple of other BOIFUN cameras, so I decided to try their doorbell camera. Physical installation is easy. They give you both screws and adhesive strips to use. I chose to not drill holes in my siding, so I used siding clips and a piece of wood (to be painted). I mounted the doorbell base to the wood with screws and snapped in the doorbell . This also lets me move the camera around, if I am not happy with the location.BOIFUN says you can use either their app or the CloudEdge app. I used the BOIFUN app. Activation and pairing of the doorbell and connection to the wifi network is a breeze. The instructions are pretty clear and there are plenty of color indicators and sounds to let you know you are successful for a given step.The performance is great! My door is about 30 feet from the road, so I was concerned about false triggers with passing cars or bike riders. However I reduced the sensitivity and I do not get any false notifications. The picture quality is very, very good. The app let me customize the zone where I want motion detection notification and video capture. I like that I get imagery of motion detection AND when the doorbell is pressed. Delivery people and others trip the motion detection but may not ring the bell. There is even a small remote speaker that you can place on a shelf that chimes (you can choose from a list of sounds/tunes) when the doorbell is pressed. When the doorbell is pressed, I get a notification on my phone. I can ‘answer’ the notification and have a conversation with the person, or I can have a pre-recorded voicemail be played. I can also decide to reject the request and not respond. I’ve attached a few photos and a video from testing. The doorbell even has night vision!Sharing access to the doorbell and the recorded images is super easy. BOIFUN lets you add someone else by entering their account, or scanning a QR code. Each person is required to download the app and create an account. Rather than add a camera to their account, there is a QR code in the app on their phone that I ( as ‘administrator/owner’) scan using my BOIFUN app. This creates the link and allows sharing. This can be just viewing, or full access and control for family or friends.Certainly based on my old system, this is a HUGE improvement. I now have a working doorbell – range is no longer an issue since it uses wifi to send notifications to my phone. AND I get photo/video (great quality) of the encounter. Given the customization of the app, I cannot imagine a situation where you couldn’t make it work. When I bought mine, there was a discount, which made the price more attractive.

WIFI Doorbell Camera-Great Features
It’s almost 30 days of using this wireless door bell camera. It was very easy to install. The picture quality both day and night works great, so does the sound. I like that I don’t need a subscription to store motion detection. I use a 128 gb SD card for storage of short footages. I am not completely satisfied with the battery life. I’ve charged it once already and as of today it’s on 28%. I wish it had a removable battery that I could replace instead of charging the built in battery. Also, it doesn’t always pick up motions by my door way though it’s in close proximity to WIFI in my living room. It’s overall a good, affordable WiFi doorbell camera. I’m not a 100% satisfied but for the price I’ll keep it because it comes with warranty coverage and they seem to have good customer service support.

Great and Easy to Use Doorbell/Room Monitor
Great product, needed to use it as a monitor for my grandpa instead of a doorbell. Night vision works great, look at photos and the camera quality is sufficient whether you are using it as a doorbell or monitor. Video recording – didnt want to show any personal information but video works great. Keep in mind if you wanted cloud storage, theres a subscription service. Voice and audio sounds fine. Ring/chime is LOUD, can be tuned lower or higher as needed. App is easy to use and setup was quick. If installing on a flat wall, charger is provided with stickers you can place on the back. Screws are provided if you want to install on rough/brick walls.
