Can I connect Nanoleaf Shapes with the Nanoleaf Light Panels or Nanoleaf Canvas?
No, the Nanoleaf Shapes are not compatible with Light Panels or Canvas. You can connect any shapes together – Hexagons, Triangles,& Mini Triangles. All of our products can operate together in the Nanoleaf App even if they’re not physically connected.
How panels are mounted to the wall? Will they damage my wall?
Mount your panels with the included double-sided tape onto any smooth and flat surface. When you mount them, leave the ends of the tape sticking out from the Mounting Plate so you can pull them along the wall later for a safe and easy removal.
Are Nanoleaf lights waterproof?
No, Nanoleaf products are NOT waterproof or water resistant. Our lights and adhesives are not designed to be exposed to high levels of humidity, and are therefore not recommended to be placed in washrooms, near the sink in kitchens, or outdoors.
What is the difference between a Smarter Kit and an Expansion Pack?
Every Nanoleaf Smarter Kit has everything you need to set up the lights. It includes a Controller and a Power Supply unlike Nanoleaf Expansion Packs. An Expansion Pack is an addition to a Smarter Kit which cannot be used without owning a Smarter Kit.
What is the maximum amount of panels that will work with the included 42W Power Supply?
The maximum amount of panels per included Power Supply is 22 for the Hexagons, 28 for the Triangles, and 77 for the Mini Triangles. If you are ever in doubt, check out the PSU Calculator on our website.

Yes! You can turn on Rhythm Scenes to see your Lines dance to music and sounds, and can use the Screen Mirror feature through the Nanoleaf Desktop App.
How are Lines mounted to the wall? Are they easy to dismount?
Simply mount your Lines with the attached double-sided mounting tape onto any smooth and flat surface. To dismount, remove the Connectors, and then gently pull the end of Mounting Tape along the wall until fully removed.

What device are you using?
I see other reviews on here for people who are using a completely different device than what is advertised. This is clearly locked on the green setting. It would be nice if they pointed us in the right direction for what lights to use and the correct power supply to use

Very Good Controller
Of all the RGBW controllers I have used this one is the best. It is easy to use and has a good instruction manual abate very small print. One star off because this unit (as every unit I tested) is not compatible with standard electrical wall mount boxes. I wish their manufacturer would make a more substantial unit with larger electrical terminals (another star off). It seems that all these controllers, including this one, are geared more towards the PC gamer crowd than for regular residential home lighting use. As such they have “light show” features that are useless in a living environment like my kitchen. Who needs rapidly changing colors and patterns while preparing food? I definitely don’t want my environment turned into a light show circus.
