    Exceeded expectations
    Used for under cabinet lighting in my kitchen. They have been installed for a few weeks now and I really like them. I have them hooked up to a kasa dimmer and (so far, knock on wood) it works flawlessly. Can’t comment on longevity yet but I’m hopeful. The transformer does get hotter then expected but the location I chose is open air so I don’t foresee any issues but will keep an eye on it. I saw some reviews that said they weren’t bright enough but these are actually way brighter then I was expecting which I was happy about. I like having more light then I need and dimming it down. I run these on 60% most of the time and it’s perfect. I wiped the area I was installing them with rubbing alcohol and then wiped that area again with a clean paper towel and made sure the area was totally dried. They stuck very well. Even had to reposition a section and it’s still sticking well. I did turn them on for a few minutes prior to installing so the glue would soften up some and promote adhesion. Then once installed I left them on for an hour or 2 and went back every so often and applied pressure everywhere to help set the glue. Highly recommend for the price. The transformer power cord comes installed but is easily removed and trimmed to length which I appreciated.

    Short life span – review revised
    These strips produced a nice light under a floating vanity and were dimmable. However one of the strips failed less then 6 months after installation. I don’t recommend based on the durability. These didn’t get used very often – about 3 hours per week – so I consider the strip defective.Updated: 21 Oct 2024 I changed this to 4 stars because I contacted the customer service for Armacost Lighting and they responded promptly and after confirming my issue quickly issued a replacement for the part that was defective. I have emails it is shipping and assuming this takes care of the issue, I feel confident in recommending the product.

    Great light kit
    I used the lights to back light my cabinets. The lights are very bright. They are dimmed to 50% in the photo. The remote works very well, allowing you to dim the lights.

    WOW!!!
    Gone are the days of trying to fit large wires and bulbs into a small cabinet to give it some light. This was the easiest of installs we have ever done in our lives. We retrofitted an old curios cabinet and wanted a lot of light in it, and this was the answer. Super easy to unroll, securing it into a switch was effortless and viola, let there be light. I am looking at using this stuff all over the house so I can light up more of our collections.

    Poor quality connectors and under spec’d power supply
    Lights worked for about 1 hour and then died. Experimented with shorter strip length and lights worked but cycled on and off with voltage cycling confirmed with volt meter. Seems like the power adapter is under spec’d which is completely unacceptable given I’m only using about 2 feet of the 16 foot strip and there were no listed specs on the max length of the line from the adapter to the strip light. Connectors are cheaply made and do not make a good connection. I’m hoping to hear back from Armacost but other reviews leave me doubtful I’ll ever hear back.
