I have an old wyze cam that finally kicked the bucket. I wanted to replace it so I went with wyze again. Iâve had it for a couple of weeks and the identification triggers work great thus far. Works great in day and night. It does come with a 3 month prepaid cam plus card so thatâs a good incentive for first time wyze buyers

We love our cameras
We have 6 Wyze cameras around our house, and like being able to check in even when we are away. This one is monitoring our backyard. The night vision is great, and it has the option of a motion activated flood light and announcement that a camera is recording. We donât use that option, but it is available. You can specify the target area to trip the camera, so you can also just record events. This camera is easy to set up and easy to use. By using a memory card, we can avoid the monthly charges of cloud storage (but we can save video to our photos).The cameras are small enough that if you place them properly, they are hardly noticed.Definitely recommend.

You get a LOT of camera for the money
I’m actually surprised as to how much functionality you get with the Wyze app and this camera, even without the subscription. Good 1080p resolution, automation options are plenty (we’re setting ours on a schedule).Pop in a 256 GB micro SD card and you get a LOT of recordings before it starts overwriting old ones.Terrific value for money. Can’t imagine anyone knowingly buying a baby monitor these days, when a camera like this is twice as good at 1/10th of the price.

Great camera great price.
Had initial trouble connecting the WYZE cam V3 to my Netgear WIFI router, but after searching Youtube videos and Google searches I found the solution. I logged in to the router to access WIFI security settings from my PC. I was able to then change the security settings to WPA-PSK [TKIP]. With this new security settings I was able to immediately connect to WIFI in the WYZE cam V3 set-up. Google search how to login to your router for more help. I did factory reset my router, not sure if this was needed.Very happy with this security camera, hope newer version faster 5G to come soon!

Good cam for the price
Itâs like anything, you have to familiarize yourself to using it and the app. Iâve used it in my front room facing my front door and now in a window facing my front porch and works well.The event recording works well and I bought a micro sd card so now it records continually as well as giving me alerts for motion detection alerts.

Great for live monitoring, forget about recording anything
Camera worked great for a week. We were able to watch live feed and event recordings via the sd card without an issue. But after that, the review recordings feature has completely failed. The sd card is empty, but I cannot replay any recordings. Period. Weâve tried everything including completely re-setting up the device and the app. We even tried purchasing the âplusâ recording feature. All a waste of time. Camera is worthless except for watching a live feed.
