    Not just “Google Compatible”, actually shows live video in Google Home cameras
    I went through a bunch of security bulbs to avoid hooking up power outside, all said “Google Assistant Compatible” and all showed an error message that the feed cannot be viewed in the Google Home live view. This is probably wyze (get it?) from a cybersecurity perspective, to not allow all these random unknown vendors stream through the Google Home app, but Wyze Cam V3 is supported and it works. Installation was easy, I purchased a lamp socket separately, used the correct cable provided with the socket, and presto – installed and mounted the camera with the socket adopted into the Wyze platform. Connect Google Home to Wyze and the camera shows up with your existing Google Nest cameras in a grouped view, and streams all. Pro-tip: if you have a protective covering around the old bulbs, regular size bulbs may not fit, but amazon sells tiny E26 fridge bulbs that should fit into the existing cover along with the Wyze Socket. Brilliant, elegant, inexpensive solution that works!

    Great indoor and outdoor cameras!
    I was skeptical at first that a $35 camera would be a good choice for me to use year round outside as a security cam, but I can say now that they work flawlessly for that exact use case.I started planning where to install my first Wyze V3, and the obvious choice was under my eaves to monitor my driveway/front yard. The factory mount does allow you to mount upside down and rotate side to side, however it doesn’t allow you to level the camera. So while it worked as is, I wanted to look at level footage, so I ended up picking up one of these mounts (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Z7WHDX2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which allowed me to mount the camera and orient it correctly.Next up was power, these cameras are powered via USB and a USB brick. Luckily the area I wanted to mount under my eaves had attic access. I tapped off existing power and installed a GFCI on a stud in the attic and drilled a small hole in the soffit to run the cable down through.I purchased an SD Card and the Cam Plus subscription and started tinkering. The Wyze V3 gives you the ability to adjust detection settings for both motion and audio, set a sensitivity for both, and allows you to set a detection zone for motion. This was crucial for me since my camera captures our dead end and our neighbors driveway, I didn’t really want a bunch of clips of my neighbor coming and going or cars turning around in the dead end. But it’s granular enough that I was able to include our mailbox in the detection zone so I could see when the mail was delivered. You can also choose to record on motion, sound, both, or neither.Once I got one working the way I wanted another was inevitable, and this time it got initially used as a crate cam for a puppy we were fostering. The camera worked great in low light to be able to keep tabs on him and ensure he was safely resting in his crate. The audio worked perfectly to know when he was being fussy, and the two way audio and being able to talk to him through the camera was comedy gold for the head tilts of not knowing where the voices were coming from.The crate camera served its purpose and eventually got promoted to a backyard camera to keep tabs on the dogs when they went out. I used the same mount as I did with the one under the eaves, except this one I used a siding clip to create mount points for the base of the cam mount to attach to. Unlike the front yard cam this one would be exposed directly to the elements/sun 24/7. I purchased a longer flat USB cable and ran it through a window and closed the window on it, making sure to leave a drip loop below the camera. I wasn’t sure how long it would last but figured it’s only $35. More than 6 months later this camera is still functioning perfectly and has had zero issues. Our backyard is probably 100′ long or so and the night vision works great for things within 50-75′ of the camera. Things on the edges you can see motion but not much definition.Last point is that I chose these for the Google Home function and they do work, albeit with a little lag. I can ask google “show me the backyard camera”, it’ll take 10-15 seconds to load, but it will show a live view on my Google Home Hub which is really great!I highly recommend these cameras for indoor and outdoor use. The price is right, the cost of the Wyze CamPlus subsciption is even right, I can’t fault $20/yr for two cameras in the least bit.

    Doesn’t catch snake’s movement .
    I love wyze for having a great product for the price range the image quality is great , and the app interface is easy to use . On top of that this cam has a feature to turn off ir lights at night which is cool . I have two other models in the bedroom for my dog which has been working for years and doing great. And this model is great expect for what I wanted it for. I put it in my snake enclosure to capture the movement of my snake when active but I have noticed dayor night it doesn’t pick up the snake even when it’s right in front of the lens ??? How do I know bc I will literally check the live feed and the snake is active yet the motion detection isn’t activated . I have changed settings and played around with it but nothing as worked . That’s my only negative . Other than that great product but not great for snake monitoring unless you are just interested in the live feed .

    Upgrade to the v1 and v2
    I’ve had the original and v2 for a while. Just recently added the v3. Can confirm the v3 still works with cam plus lite. The v3 seems to connect faster when using the app for viewing. The night vision is definitely an upgrade as it’s clearer and has color if there’s enough of a light source. I see reviews stating the daytime video isn’t much difference but i do see the v3 being less pixelated in both live view and playback. I’ve since replaced all my main view points to the v3 and use my older cams for less important areas. Would recommend upgrading if you have the older cams and want to retain cam plus lite

    Tengo 6 meses con él producto. Incluso instale 2 afuera de mi casa a una altura aproximada a 3 metros de altura, pero ya llovió en múltiples ocasiones, y se mantienen fijas y sobretodo funcionando en todo momento…. tuve que hacer unas perforaciones para que el cable quedase escondido, y un punto muy importante como sugerencia es comprarle una tarjeta micro sd para guardar de forma continua y así poder visualizar videos en un rango de tiempo.

    I’ve had this cam for a couple of weeks now. I bought it for my apartment balcony because someone was using a barbecue at night several times a week and the fumes were blowing into my windows. Barbecues are prohibited in our lease. I needed a good night vision camera to find out who it was. When I first got the camera I was very impressed with the crystal clear picture quality for both day and night. The motion detection is sensitive (it detected the bird in my photo). I also liked the many features in the app to configure motion sensing, for example you can set it to detect human activity, pets, etc. This camera is designed to be installed in many ways. I ended up using cable ties to strap it to an old speaker stand on my balcony.As soon as I installed the camera, the late night barbecue ninja stopped polluting my apartment. So they make a good deterrent. I also enjoy using it to see the view from the balcony. But tonight this camera really proved itself. I was watching TV and the cam’s alert sound started going off every minute or so. I checked the event footage and saw that a balcony 100 meters away on the floor below me was completely engulfed in flames! Also, I could zoom in and see a person moving around among the flames. I could see that they were waving their arms around trying to get the fire under control. The camera had detected both the movement of the flames and the person on the balcony. This camera also has a web view feature, so I opened the footage on my large PC monitor which allowed me to see more details.I called the fire department and they got here within a few minutes. By the time they arrived, the balcony was engulfed in white smoke. I wasn’t sure which apartment number it was, so I went out to meet the fireman and showed him the video alerts from the camera on my phone. He was impressed with the clarity of the video footage which allowed him to find the apartment quickly. Luckily when he got there the tenant had put the flames out on their own. The fireman told me it was a barbecue fire, which is why they aren’t permitted here. He also told me I did the right thing by calling them. Tomorrow the landlord’s getting an email with some interesting video footage.I’m so impressed with this camera that I’m planning on buying another one. Right now I have a competitor’s camera system indoors (Blink), and they are vastly inferior to the Wyze cameras with a far more expensive subscription. I will eventually replace them with Wyze cameras as well. I also recommend the Wyze subscription, it’s inexpensive and packed with extra features to configure the camera and its alerts.

    Es la 3er cámara Wyze que compro sin duda es la que ofrece una mejor calidad por su precio, la definición tanto de día como de noche es buena no excelente pero cumple. El tamaño de la cámara es pequeño por lo que la hace muy discreta además que resiste sin problema polvo y lluvia.

    Un dispositivo que me ha sorprendido, tiene una magnífica relación calidad precio, ya que es pequeña, pero tiene buena resolución tanto de día, cómo de noche, me ha sorprendido, hay dispositivos con mayor resolución, pero mucho más caros, la relación de esta cámara es más que aceptable.
