Great mount for doorbell on a side wall of door
I have a narrow cooridor leading up to my front door and the previous doorbell was on the left wall instead of directly on the door. I wanted to put the doorbell there so I could wire it into the power and not have to rely on batteries.This makes the angle adjusted enough to see down the hall with the wyze camera so does the job perfectly. Feels nice and secured installed into my brick veneer.

Will NOT work without modifications
I didn’t know what to think after reading all the reviews on this item regarding the screws. This appears to be the only product available to provide the wedge option for the Wyze Video Doorbell Pro. So, what is a person to do when this is the only option to use? Buy it and pray it works in my use case.Well, now I know what others meant about the screws not being long enough. They literally are not long enough. Not just for some of us, but for ALL of us. The pictures show just how long the screw goes through. It barely pops out the other end, making it impossible to attach to any anchor plug. See photos.To add insult to injury, of the hundreds of extra screws I have stored from previous projects, many of them are long enough, but none of them are small enough in diameter to go through the threads in the holes.Where to turn to next? Home Depot. The gentlemen were helpful, but in the end, Home Depot doesn’t have the size in diameter needed for this mount. They suggested Ace Hardware.Ace Hardware was also helpful, but in the end, there still was no option for this size screw.After an hour and half extra time driving and talking to the folks in the hardware stores, I decided to take measures into my own hands. Another problem existed, however, and that was the current wall plugs in the wall from the previous doorbell, are a tad larger in diameter.Here is what I ended up doing to get this to work.1. Drilled out the metal pieces in the holes of the wedge mount.2. Used the screws from the Wyze Doorbell to mount into the wall plugs that were already in my wall. (They fit nice and snug)3. I found I couldn’t use the normal Wyze plate to mount to the wedge, because, once again, there was a screw issue. So, I used the flat Wyze plate, and mounted it with the 3m double sided tape to the wedge. That stuck very nicely.4. I drilled a hole in the flat Wyze plate so I could poke the wires through and attach to the doorbell.5. Attached the doorbell, and fastened all the remaining screws.All works well now.In no way, am I endorsing this product, as there are some definite quality control issues, that quite frankly, could have been remedied if the makers would have just listened to the reviews from others.What I am trying to do, is provide one example of making this thing work, in case there are others out there, who find themselves in similar situations. Maybe I can help save time from driving to various extra stores. Unfortunately, my time has been wasted there, but hopefully others will not.

This is a great product – well made and adds more angle then the stock Wyze wedge.However, I couldn’t get the stock Wyze plate to mount to this with the included screws. The screws were too small and didn’t connect them. It’s very possible I did something wrong or was trying the wrong parts, as I don’t see any other mentions of this issue in other reviews. And you could easily use the 3M tape to connect them instead of screws, but I’m in a colder climate and didn’t want to rely on the longevity of the tape.Again, it adds additional angle and is adjustable, where the provided wedge with the Wyze doorbell itself is not adjustable and only adds a small angle. And the make feels no different then the plates include with the Wyze doorbell.
