Reliable, but sticks out further than most.
The picture it captures are sharp, but view is not wide angled⦠it stays connected, so no problems with that. It picks up sounds well. Setting up is no harder than any other.The one thing I do have to mention is that it doesn’t start recording until a second after the detection so it might be nice if the manufacturer has like a buffered recording method or something similar, and even installed a high capacity memory card doesn’t help. The battery can drain quickly if it pivks up as frequently as it does where I live, but rechargeable so it’s not that big of an issue. Buying the camera is cheap, but the cost for cloud storage is where they push for you to get to make the money on subscription.

[Update] The custom motion alert areas do not work. I set it up and still I continue to get alerts for things outside of the box. The battery barely lasted a months time before needing recharging. This device is not made for apartments where there’s fairly decent foot traffic daily.I’m not sure that the microphone works all that well though as I have tried to politely ask people at 3 am to not be so loud in the hallway. The siren on the doorbell is plenty loud enough and handy to help break up drunk fights.===Overall so far it seems good. You do have to have a 2.4g wifi available, it won’t work with 5g.I was worried when I saw the 3 AAA batteries but thankfully those are for the little chime box, the camera itself is rechargeable with a usb c cord.The only down side is that, I got this because originally the listing said no tools needed to install, well that’s a bit misleading, there’s screws. However it does come with a double-sided sticky foam. I live in apartments and can’t be drilling holes so, so far the sticky tape has held up but I’m not too confident for how long.The image quality is pretty decent. I do wish that you could set it to not send notifications to your phone on every motion detection, as again I live in apartments and there’s sometimes a lot of traffic. I don’t mind it taking a picture every time, but it doesn’t need to send me a notification to my phone every time. Unfortunately with the notifications it’s either all or nothing.The chime box is a nice bonus however I doubt I’ll be really using it, most likely I’ll take the batteries out of it as I’ll be using my phone with the app to be able to see and speak to the person on the other side of the door.The holder is nice that you can change the angle of the device, so I was able to turn it all the way to the side and get a good view of the buildings entry door and hallway and not have it facing forward directly at my neighbors door.
