Is this security camera compatible with DVR systems from other brands?
Yes, this TIGERSECU security camera works with most recorders that support HD-TVI, HD-CVI, AHD, or CVBS (D1). Simply convert the camera mode to CVBS to make it compatible with older 720p or D1 DVR systems.
Does it have a mobile app for remote access?
No, this camera on its own does not work with a mobile app. This camera requires connection to a security DVR in order to work. Once connected to a DVR, you’ll be able to view camera footage through the DVR’s mobile app for remote access.
Is the camera’s power adapter sold separately or included? What kind of power supply works with this camera?
The power supply for this camera is not included. We recommend using a 12V 1A power supply to power up each camera. The power interface is DC 5.5 x2.1 mm. Insufficient power can result in distorted or blacked-out images, or video loss.
Is this a wired or wireless camera?
This is a hard-wired camera that can be connected to your security DVR using a BNC video cable. Contact TIGERSECU’s Help Desk if you need a hand with installation.
What’s an OSD switch and what does it do?
The OSD switch is a toggle switch on the security camera that allows you to easily switch the camera’s video mode so it can work with a variety of DVRs, including HD-TVI, AHD, CVI, and even older 960H D1 analog DVRs.

Great camera
The picture I took of the camera clarity doesn’t do it justice, it was a good purchase I will buy more of these when the time comes. Easy install and night vision works good.

best ever upgrade
I had to replace my swann system account after 8 years it died. Ordered the Tiger system and the first thing I noticed was the size difference. Tiger hard drive box was two thirds smaller. Cameras was half the size. I already had my cable ran from the last system so only had to take down old cameras and plug and play hard drive. after I set up the camera’s which where very easy I got every thing connected to the hard drive and all I can say is”OMG” what a GREAT pictures on all four cameras. So I played around with the functions and waited till dark to see the night vision. Let me tell you that This system is superior to what I had in the day and the Tiger was half the price. So, smaller IS better and would of and should of had one of these a long time ago. and no little fan either. no noise. the functions are way easier to use. I have not as yet hooked it up to my Wi-Fi so cant wait for that. Great system and no regret’s.

Very good 2mp camera
I’m very impressed with this camera so much that I ended up buy five in total for my Tiger Security DVR and replaced my older analog cameras. Night vision is pretty good the first 35 feet in total darkness. However in my garage with no lights on and no doors or windows this camera makes it look like it’s daylight, very happy about it. Picture quality is great in daytime too. I returned one camera thinking the night vision was bad as it was not as strong as the other camera at night, After reviewing a replacement camera I updated the wire to a double stranded rather than the single strand wire (2-1) that the camera was using this improved the night vision. Please use the doubles strand wire for the video and power not 2-1 wire it cannot provide enough power for the infrared lights.

Great camera for the price
I came from 960H cameras to this. It is quite the noticeable improvement. During the day there is much more detail to everything and at night the night vision works so much better. There’s no white halo at night that there is with my other cameras.I regret that it pixelates when you use the zoom feature but as these are not PTZ’s (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) it’s to be expected. I need to be able to positively ID someone at a location about 50 feet away. While this provides a good picture, much better than I had with 960H, it’s still not enough at that distance unfortunately. Looks like I’m gonna have to get a PTZ because there’s nowhere between here and there to mount a camera any closer. I’m not using it at night for this but as a side note the night vision works straight out to about 25 feet easily. My only complaint really, and it’s not limited to this camera and not about the camera at all actually, is the quality of the mounting screws. The included screws are extremely weak and strip very easily. Tiger, QSee, Zmodo, Swann, etc in the same price range all came with poor quality mounting screws. Do yourself a favor and go get three quality, stronger screws with a larger head that won’t strip to mount the camera with. You’ll thank me later.Overall, if you’re still using cameras less than 2MP, or 1080p, these are well worth the upgrade for both day and night use.One thing you’ll probably have to do is change the bit rate in your dvr. My TigerSECU dvr has low, medium and high settings yet even on high the picture was very bad. Then I noticed the custom option. Even on the high setting the bit rate was only 4000 something. Using the custom setting I set it as high as it would go, around 10,500 kbps and that eliminated virtually all of the pixelation. So when you first plug it in if there’s a bad picture try that.Edit: I had to drop a star because one of the cameras has begun switching to nighttime mode randomly during the day when it’s not even cloudy. I think the sensor is going out already.

Great upgrade and has BNC connection
Needed some newer higher definition cameras for my home. Bought 6 cameras on Prime Day and took advantage of the discounted price. Much more clarity than my older Swann cameras. And because it is a BNC type of connection, it was a direct swap out with my wiring.*FYI: The circumference of the base is small than older style cameras, so it’s likely you will need to drill new screw holes for mounting*

Night vision quit working
Are the cameras have a great picture during the daytime hours. I have adjusted the settings for all the cameras to turn on the night vision manually and it worked for a few months just fine but all of a sudden every one of the four cameras I purchased I’ll quit working at night meaning the night vision on the cameras quit and it showsA pitch black picture I can’t see anything at all after sunset. I expected more from these cameras considering what I paid for them butI did get the extended warranty so I will be sending them back for replacements until I get more cameras that will work during the night and day as advertised. Hope this helps someone I will update my review after I received my replacement cameras
