Connects quickly to SmartThings & works well.
No specific instructions for use with SmartThings. In fact, there are no indications that it will even work with SmartThings on the Sylvania packaging. Just a small ZigBee logo. However, I just powered up the bulbs and then connected using the normal SmartThings “Add Device” routine. It did connect surprisingly fast as compared to other devices I previously added. All lighting functions work well via SmartThings app. Its very subjective, but to me it feels like this bulb is as bright or maybe even brighter than a standard 90W incandescent flood bulb. A bit “cooler’ color than standard incandescent. A nice bright light but not terribly harsh. Good light dispersion as a flood light should. The neck of the bulbs are a bit longer than usual, which is a good-thing and necessary for some light fixtures or sockets. Note that this bulb is not instant on/off. It turns on and off with a brightening/dimming effect. Takes maybe a second or two. Again, not a problem. BTW, in this case, using smart bulbs is certainly less expensive than using smart wall switches. And installation is much easier.

Great light that works with Wink 2 – slow dimming, though!
I love this light, and I have had no problems with it! It works well with my Wink 2 hub (easy to set up). I did need to go online for the setup instructions, but it was easy to understand why it blinked three times when I turned it on (it was entering setup mode). The only problem I have with it is it seems to take a long time to dim – like a minute or two – very odd. But I loved this one so much I just bought two of the 1300 lumen lights as well (hard to find high lumen, wet, smart bulbs!).

Smart Par 38 wet rated floodlight bulb that works with Alexa Plus
Almost returned these. I have Alexa Plus but these bulbs did not pair after several tries. Everything I read was VERY confusing. I tried getting the lightify app but you need to purchase the gateway just to set up an account. I could not even enable the skill. Description on Amazon says it can work with the Alexa plus hub. However, while waiting on hold for Sylvania, I found information on how to reset the bulb. Nothing about this in the instructions with the bulb. Turn the light off and on 5 times waiting 3 seconds while off. Turn it on and ask Alexa to discover the device. This worked. Without the gateway, you cannot set timers, etc. but I was only interested in voice control through Alexa. I really wanted these to work because they were the only PAR 38 wet rated bulbs I found for outdoor floodlights that may get wet. Next closest thing is a BR 30 damp rated by sengled.

    Unreliable
I bought this and worked nicely for few days (outside my garage). Now a month in, it does not connect to the hub. Reset it couple of times (using the 5 sec on/off method) but same thing after few hours. So I’m hunting for another such outside smart light. Stay away from this junk.

    Awful Zigbee range
I tried to install 2 of these in the same circuit and they don’t work. Hub is less than 50 feet away with multiple repeaters along the way. Doesn’t work well. Smartthings hub has a hard time detecting them and when it does, they get offline constantly and it is impossible to manage them.

Excellent product, well made and surprisingly bright
Integrates very easily with zigbee2mqtt or openHAB if you are using a home automation system. I imagine it will integrate easily with home assistant and others also.Colour temperature representation is very good, using a combination of less of different colour temperature to achieve a mix.Low light levels are good if you like to create night lights.Seller was great, shipped rapidly and in good conditions. Will buy again.

Fast set up for Echo Plus or Zigbee-compatible
The included instructions imply that you should install a LIGHTIFY Gateway and Download the LIGHTIFY App. Actually, neither is required if you already have a Zigbee hub such as an Echo Plus.Since my Echo Plus is already installed, I simply Say “Alexa, discover my devices” and turn on the new light. It will flash to indicate pairing is occurring, then the Alexa response will be “___ Light is found” and ready… ___ is the sequential name such as “First”, “Second”, “Third”… etc. depending on how many lights you already have installed. Once it is ready you can rename it to something else, like “Patio Light”.This Sylvania LIGHTIFY LED is the best price I have found for a Smart Connected dimmable LED PAR38 sized Soft White Outdoor lamp suitable for wet locations. It is a 13-watt 40 degree Flood with 1050 lumens at 3000K (about 100w-120w equivalent)

Finding a smart MR16 light bulb is impossible. I have Philips Hue bulbs but for some reason they do no have a smart MR16. This Sylvania one is the only one I can find and it’s supposed to be Zigbee compatible since Sylvania does not offer an app or their own hub to connect the light bulb to wifi. However the bulb will not connect to my Zigbee hub, and there is no serial number on the bulb to do a manual connection of the bulb to the hub. This means there is no way to control the bulb. I am returning it for a refund.
