Perfect Soft White LED – 60 Watt Compatible Bulb for My Apple HomeKit
Wow, took seconds to set up. I recommend downloading the Sylvania App first and adding it to that App so any firmware upgrades are performed. After that, went to HomeKit and it was set up in seconds. Super fast and responsive and gives off that perfect light that old bulbs used to before LEDs. Dims Beautifully. Sylvania did this bulb right, inexpensive, old-school and perfect functionality.I replaced a NanoLeaf bulb with this and I love it. The light from this bulb is exactly what we got from our pre-LED energy saving days,. soft with a yellow tinged white.

Worked for a year, now they just do whatever they want
Was happy with these for a year, worked great with Apple HomeKit automation. Now suddenly one stopped working, and one says it needs an update. So we did a reset on the one that wasn’t working and I downloaded the SYLVANIA Bluetooth app to get the update for the other one. Thought everything was great until the one that we reset started blinking off and on a dozen times at random times and now no longer will talk to the HomeKit…The one that needs the update won’t update: HomeKit still says it needs an update, while the SYLVANIA app says all devices are up to date. So figure that one out 🤦🏼‍♀️ So stupid. The app designed by the same company as the device can’t even talk to it when I’m 2 feet away. Not worth the money for one year of functionality.

Not as described – doesn’t support Homekit
I have a bunch of older SYLVANIA bulbs and they all support HomeKit. I wanted to get one more and found the RGN ones I had are now Google/Amazon only. But this one was listed as HomeKit. It arrived quickly, as expected, and the box shows HomeKit/Google/Amazon, but the instructions only list Google and Amazon, and the device and instructions don’t have the QR code that is needed to pair with HomeKit. Returned for a refund.

    Good for the price
Adjusts like it should. Although, the dimmer at 1% is still very bright.

    Works perfectly with HomeKit.
I use this with Apple’s HomeKit. It just works. It literally took me 20 seconds to set it up, by simply putting the bulb’s code into my iPhone and then done. I have no idea how they could make it easier.I have quite a number of home automation devices – thermostats, bulbs, outlets, cameras, and sensors. This guy works as well as the best of them. My Apple TV works as my HomeKit hub, and it’s exactly as far away from this bulb as possible within my home. It works 100% reliably. I’ll definitely be buying more.UPDATE! OK, four years in now, and I have three of these smart bulbs. First, the good part: All are still working. We use them every day that someone is at home, easily surpassing 25000 hours per bulb. They look and work as good as they did on their first day. They have lasted longer than many of my name-brand “smart outlets”. These Sylvania bulbs continue to be excellent.

Best HomeKit bulb you can purchase.
Ok. First off I recommend getting a Bluetooth repeating hub alongside these bulbs since they’re based on Bluetooth. 1-2 for a medium sized home 3-4 for larger homes or 2 story homes. But I tell you these are the best lightbulbs for HomeKit. No messing around. No needing to connect to your Wi-Fi with a passcode. It’s connected directly with your Apple ID so any apple devices you have you can open up home and bam you have control of your lighting from the front to the back. Highly recommended.

Get GE or Phillips or nothing really, just don’t get this.
Six Month Update: Originally I’d given two stars but after getting to really use it, it’s just terrible. Dropping to one star. Get GE or Phillips or nothing really, just don’t get this. The supporting app, smart+, is rubbish and hasn’t been maintained since 2018.——————————–Original Review:So this isn’t truly hubless.Requirements:1. Download an app on your Android phone for setup. — Went well.2. Create account. —Pretty standard stuff, just used a non monitored email address.3. Used app to setup light bulb. —Worked as expected4. Open Google Home app and added device to Google Home controlled devices. — It works*The bad part came when I wanted to shut the app down on my device and I found out to work it wants to use your phone as a hub. It doesn’t hand the device off to your network or to your Google Home network. To use you have to have the App run in the background on your phone and always have Bluetooth on. Essentially your phone becomes the hub. So if you leave and someone else wants to turn on the light. To bad. I really don’t recommend this. Bad architecture. As an led light bulb it works and as long as it’s running on your phone and bluetooth is on it works, usually. If I leave and come back I sometimes have to reconnect.
