Alexa is a luxury, and a proven necessity –
Amazon ‘Alexa’ units are a great convenience, especially when a light or a device you want to turn (on/off) is at a distance; (if you want to check if it is). Like when you think you turned the coffee pot off, but you’re not sure if you did or not, – you can actually check your Alexa phone app from wherever you are in town, and check if the device is (on/off). I used to drive back home sometimes to make sure, I really did.The Alexa Plugs and Lights save you time and effort when you come home too. I say, Alexa turn on the ‘TV’ and my TV screen actually turns on (and the other three devices connected to that power strip switch on). Or I say, turn on ‘T1’ – and the device I named turns on. — “Turn off the coffee pot!” —

Unit failed after 8 months.
The units I bought worked perfectly for about 8 months and then one has decided to completely fail. No lights or activity when plugged or unplugged. Junlit sending a replacement. The replacement process has been fully manual through messages because Amazon removes any buttons for help or replacement. I appreciate that the Junlit helped me replace the unit. Otherwise, they work well and hopefully this failure was just a bad unit and others will keep working well. Model YSP102.

Easy to set up.
I had bought 2 plugs as a gift and went to set them up. 2 1/2;hrs later I was Sending them back and bought these to replace them. These set up in minutes. Just as a good quality plug should have. I’m not sure how long they will hold up. I’ve had some fail with in months and I have some a couple of years old now. If they hold up well I’ll buy more of them. I like they use the smart life app. So no other app to download.

I consider myself pretty good at setting up wireless things. I have a 2.4 and 5 GHz network already. These plugs were a b!tch to set up. You have to have the Smart App then you can link it to Alexa. I had a hard time getting the app to link to my 2.4 network. Figured it out but was challenging.

Estoy impresionado que unos plugs de marca desconocida y tan baratos funcionen tan bien, no se desconectan para nada en homekit ni Alexa y cuando se va la luz regresan a estar encendidos que es algo que yo buscaba. Por cierto son los únicos dispositivos matter que he podido agregar a smartlife. No los necesitaba, solo los compré por el precio para probarlos y sabiendo que son matter y pues terminaron reemplazando 4 plugs que ya tenÃa porque repito son muy confiables.
