A good simple smart home controller. Works well with Google Home.
I originally bought a Hubitat for my Sengled bulbs. I wanted to get those bulbs off my router. I found out these home routers will drop devices when they reach 60+. I was having a heck of a time with drops and I have a very good Ubiquity mesh network. All of the home routers will experience this issue when you hit 70 – 80 plus devices which happens very fast when you add up all those bulbs. I have gone through 5 other brands to learn this expensive lesson (every home router system seems to brag how they can manage 150 devices….NOPE). Anyway the Hubitat is nice but does not work well with Sengled bulbs. Even though they advertise as Zigbee. I could not get the bulbs to pair up with Google Home through Hubitat. They paired up to the Hubtiat controller just fine, but I wanted the Google Home to control them with voice. Anyway I ended up returning the Hubitat and getting the Sengled controller. Everything works and syncs up very well now. The devices are off my router and am experiencing less drops. I would like to see Sengled develop more devices. The function is not as sophisticated as the Hubitat, and it relies on a network connection. So if your internet goes down the information you program for various routines will not be executed locally. For what I need it works very well. I didn’t want so many bells and whistles. It has been dependable so far and works my routines well. If your looking for something to really sink your teeth into as far as detailed programming features you may want to consider something else.

Great update to an old friend!
I’ve had Sengled products for about three years and never had an issue with any of them( Older Hub and Three Light bulbs) I purchased this hub because I have migrated over to the Apple ecosystem and this hub has HomeKit compatibility. Nothing wrong with Alexa, I just figured I have a HomePod Mini, and a list of other Apple products, so why not?HomeKit makes it easy to simply plug and play. I plugged the hub into my Eero router, scanned the number on the bottom, and that was it! Installation was a breeze. In the Sengled app, the way they want you to pair the light bulbs took a few minutes, but it was honestly a breeze. I have never had a disconnect between the light bulbs,The HomePod and the hub. It all works flawlessly. With comparing this hub to others,I also have a Phillips bridge, and the Sengled hub has better connection through and through. I use the Sengled lights for everyday fixtures, and the Phillips bridge mainly for the hue lights for my television.Having these side by side plugged into my router, the Sengled has been a work horse since day one. This is a great hub for a budget friendly smart home setup with Apple integration.5/5 would recommend

Terrible Open/Close Sensors with Smarthings, lack of customer service from Sengled
Terrible Open/Close Sensors with Smarthings, Complete lack of customer service from SengledI recently purchased four boxes of these 2 pack Sengled Smart Window & Door Sensors. I paired them directly to my Smarthings Zigbee Hub with no issues and they worked flawlessly day 1. Day 2, all devices show as OFFLINE in Smarthings. The only way they come online is to open the window the sensors are installed on to “wake them”, however no ALERT is sent identifying the window is OPEN until the window is then CLOSED. This is a huge security flaw and the devices must be on all the time to alert me when a window or door opens initially, not when it’s shut after. I contacted Sengled support via their phone number. Well, they shut down their phone lines and are email only now. Email was sent a week ago and still no response. Follow up sent a few days ago and still awaiting first contact. Did confirm email address matches the one on their website and the phone line.Unsure if all of these 8 devices are bad (sounds implausible) or just terrible product design (more likely). Terrible customer service. Will be returning all of these and not dealing with Sengled ever again. Please note, I have dozens of other zigbee devices (like these) connected to the Smarthings hub for years with no issues. These are the first smarthome devices I’ve ever seen all go offline like this.

    Window and Door Sensor
Since it seems like there are reviews for multiple items sold by Sengled I want to clarify that this is for their window and door sensors. These sensors easily paired with my Zigbee SmartThings Hub refrigerator (Samsung dongle installed). I use it with a smart switch to automatically turn a light on and off. Light is set to turn off automatically after a few minutes if sensor detects the door is not closed. These sensors work great and paired easily. Took off a star because the sensors arrived with one battery at 11% and another battery totally dead.

Very responsive but difficult set up
The sensors work great and I was eventually able to connect to my smartthings station. However you have to take to tab out only when you are actively searching for a new device on your hub.You may also need to buy new batteries for this sensor as one was completely dead and was giving me trouble connecting. Other than that it works fine.

    So hard to pair.
It failed pairing so many times. This type of experience is what most people dread about smart devices. Once it finally paired the response from it was not the fastest open/close sensor I’ve used, but not the slowest. The batteries that came with it were not working at all. Zero charge.

they work as intended. people saying theyre not as bright when outputting specific colours… i mean – that’s how colours work – white light bounces off of everything, coloured light gets absorbed by coloured surfaces. idk – maybe they’re a touch brighter when you specify a colour temp in kelvin as opposed to using RGB to dial in a colour… maybe. overall, great kit – better value than philips hue… only a couple features missing that aren’t deal breakers anyway.

Since using this product I’ve noticed a reduction in the electricity used because: I personally use the lowest brightness often and they turn off at times they really don’t need to be on by setting up routines through the sengled home app.Sometimes one of the kids might leave a bulb on but with the routines you can set with these bulbs they turn themselves off during the morning and stay off until the evening. it’s making huge differences already.Installation was easy and I’d recommend using Ethernet so that the Internet has a good constant connection to the hub and the bulbs. The variable brightness is good and at maximum they are very bright, lowest setting they are still bright but also I’ve noticed I’ve not been awake so late in the evening due to all the brightness a normal bulb would produce.I’d recommend these for someone looking to try out smart bulbs to see what difference it could make to your life especially in a busy family household
