    Practical Automated Lighting
    The LED bulb has a very nice design. It’s bright and fits in standard fixture perfectly. Bought two at first – used one in the bathroom and another in recessed kitchen fixtures. The kitchen recessed fixture worked out perfectly even though the bulb is well recessed motion detection range is just right. Tried with an extender but detection range got too long for need.The bathroom one is work-in-progress as it does not detect movement through a moderately thick transparent plastic bath shower curtain. Hence, light turns off during bath even with movement.A bit hard to get the ON state activated, perhaps I am not fast enough. Would love to see this as dusk-dawn and/or dimmable.Overall, I am very impressed with this product that I ordered another set. Unfortunately, that order got lost but Amazon was kind enough to replace it. Highly recommended product.

    Works well, doesn’t need a switch or pull chain, great customer service
    I put two in closets – one in a standard lamp socket and one in a socket that plugs into an outlet. These turn on when I open the doors and go off automatically. These light bulbs saved wiring switches or having pull chains to find in the dark. These “closets” are on the patio out of direct light. One has the electrical panel, TV, phone, irrigation timer, etc. and this allows access without a flashlight at night and permits both hands to be free. The bulbs are bright. The right product at a good price. I had a problem with the first one and customer service was excellent.

    It’s bright
    So I got this for my attic so that I don’t have to try and find the string hanging down from the ceiling in the dark while I’m trying to haul things up there. It works really well and from what I can tell only catches me when I’m in the attic as in it doesn’t just go off randomly.It seems to work really well and I actually came back to buy another 1 for my outside shed but they are currently unavailable so now I am sad. I have recommended this bulb to my relatives that are also wanting motion detection as I enjoy that it doesn’t go off all willy nilly. It has a great detection range and stays on the whole time I’m in the attic so I highly recommend. It’s also a great brightness as it reaches all corners of my very dark attic.

    Does not work properly
    These light are great when they work. I have to reset turn on times and turn off times everyday. The light settings do not work properly. They are really more of a pain that anything. I am returning these and getting some GE brand ones to replace these. I have some other lights from GE and they work perfectly. I’ve never had to change the setting in the app after I set it the first time.

    Works great! Just a little too sensitive though.
    I’m very happy with the bulb so far. It works as advertised. I currently have it outside on my porch in a downward facing can, and it replaced a BR30 floodlight. So it’s exposed to the humidity and the temperature of the outdoors, but it’s not exposed to direct rain/snow. So far it has been working well.The light is bright and seems slightly brighter than the 60W CFL bulb it replaced. The motion detector works great, and the light is instantly on (much happier with this versus waiting on the CFL to “heat up”). The only downside is that the bulb is VERY sensitive, and the slightest thing will set it off. Including headlights from my car as I pull into the house. Not the end of the world, but just a minor annoyance. But I guess better too sensitive versus not sensitive enough.A wish list would be if there was a way to adjust the length of time that the bulb stays on. It’s amazing how long 90 seconds feels, especially when you’ve either come inside or the person at the door has left and the light just seems to stay on forever. Despite this, I’ll probably buy a few more to place indoors in closets and stairwells so I don’t have to mess with looking for the light switch.

    Low standby power, adequate detection angle, works great and inexpensive Fails on slow power up when there’s a power restore
    I found this after getting First Alert motion detector socket to use for automating my pantry light.Several problems with the First Alert – detection angle was sideways not down and did not detect entry. The I found that it drew 4 Watts all the time, to try and save 9 W on the bulb… And it was something like $18.Then I got one of these. The detection cone is down – ideal for a tall closet. And it only cost $10, about 1/3 of a LED bulb and a motion detector separately. Finally, it only draws a fraction of a watt (I measured 0.36 W) when in the standby mode.Winner all the way around.I’m ordering two more for my other closets.2/16/2018 update. I did order and install 2 more. Today I came home and found all three of them stuck on and not turning off. My wife said the power blinked which I believe because all the appliance digital clocks need resetting and my computer rebooted. Apparently ALL Sengled Smartsense got confused in the same way and locked to the on state and did not time out – not an isolated unit. Irritating because I have disabled all the power switches. I did manage to power them off and they seemed to have returned to normal operation.but its a pain.7/20/2018 another power failure, power was restored and again all three lights stuck on. As an EE of many years, I say this bulb has a substandard power on reset function. I’m a little disappointed.9/7/2018 Another momentary power outage and all 3 of the SENGLED motion LEDs are stuck on again. If you use a switch to turn them off and then back on, then they are ok again. But the power company slow rise when restoring power does not reset them properly. And I have already disabled all my switches so its a pain in the a$$. I complained to Sengled a couple of times but they don’t care. So I’m downvoting this otherwise good product by 2 stars.

    I bought this for a basement bathroom that my kids leave the light on constantly. It works well if you’ve left the light on, the 2.5 minutes it’s on is more than enough for most bathroom trips. The problem I had that ultimately had me move the bulb elsewhere is when you initially turn the light on, it’s only on for about 15 seconds, and then the light turns off waiting for motion. So you’ve only just got seated on the toilet, and you’re in darkness. If you wave your hands around like a crazy person it comes back on, but I ultimately found that too annoying and moved the bulb into our furnace room and laundry room – another place that the light gets left on a lot. So far it’s working out better there. I am going to leave it there for a bit and see how it goes, if it works out for us I’ll replace the second light in that space with one.

    El foco funciona tal cual se anuncia, es muy sencillo de usar (sólo hay que colocarlo) y es conveniente para detectar movimientos, por ejemplo en la puerta de la entrada o en un pasillo. Lo único es que el foco debe estar libre para que funcione correctamente (le tuve que quitar una lámpara que tenía para que sí detectara el movimiento).

    The Bulb was working wonderfully and I was in fact hoping to order more of these until the motion detection failed. It stayed on and would no longer go off. I contacted Sengled first in October, and they said they would send a replacement but that it would be delayed due to COVID issues, which of course is reasonable. A month later, still nothing. I emailed them again and they said that it was still processing and to be patient. I waited another month and they send me a generic response saying that their wait times were now problematic because of the holidays.In short, I recommend trying another product. As the support from Sengled is rubbish. Too bad, when working it is a great product.Sean
