Good budget pick
I personally have phil’ hues bulbs but my friend wanted to get into smart lighting on more of a budget. I ordered these for them and they like them. They seem okay, didn’t seem as easy to set up as the hue imo but once they were set up they were good to go.If you want smart lighting on a budget I’d pick them up but if you’ve got the money I’d probably go hue.

Nice bulbs, worked well, but wake routine is flawed and does not work as expected.
Got a great price on these and connection to Alexa was very, very simple over Bluetooth, but unfortunately, they don’t work for what I wanted to use them. I bought these in hopes of using one in a lamp next to my nightstand as a wakeup light as it was advertised here as “Wake Up Mode: In the morning, the smart candle bulb will slowly brighten throughout the timespan you set.” It didn’t work as expected.I tried setting up a Wake Up routine within the Alexa app, and as a test, set it to wake me up on a Saturday at 7 am. I woke up before it was set to go off, so I just waited to see what would happen. It started by blinking twice. Nothing gradual about it. I decided to tinker more, so I set up a routine it to ramp up to 100% brightness over 5 minutes and played it and timed the changes with a stopwatch. What happened was this: at 15 seconds, the bulb blinked on and off once. At 45, the bulb blinked again. At 1:15, it turned on at 25% brightness. At 2:15, 50% brightness. At 3:15, 75% brightness. And finally, at 4:15, it reached 100%. The blinking at the beginning of the wakeup routine is jarring, and the stepped increase in brightness isn’t really what I expected. I thought it would be more gradual like a wakeup light.I also tried downloading the Sengled Bluetooth app to see if the wakeup settings there were any better, and all it would allow me to do was schedule turning the bulb on or off… no gradual wakeup at all that I could find within the app. It’s moderately confusing that there are a few Sengled apps on the Play store. You have to download the Bluetooth one because the regular Sengled Home app will not work (or at least I couldn’t get it to work).Other than that, the bulb performed well. Connecting to Alexa was just a matter of screwing in the bulb and turning on the lamp, then saying “Alexa, discover my device.” Once it’s connected, you can use Alexa to turn it on and off and change colors and brightness level. If you want to connect to the Sengled Bluetooth app, you need to disconnect from Alexa first because once it is linked to one app, it won’t connect to another.

Love that they integrate with Alexa. Good brightness. Nice colors.

Doesn’t work with a hub – false advertising
As described by other reviewer’s, these bulbs do not work without the use of a hub. They are Bluetooth only! They are completely misleading people by stating they are Alexa only bulbs. They even clearly state no hub required in the title and that is completely untrue. They will not work without the use of a hub. Now I’m stuck with these bulbs that I cannot use. And they are not cheap

Mesh is Unreliable
In our house, we have four Echo Dots, 3rd and 4th Gen. We have three sets of Sengled Bluetooth mesh lights in the same room (line of sight, less than ten feet) as one of the Dots. (Three different rooms). Despite this, I canât get these lights to work reliably. When resetting and joining back to Alexa, these lights *consistently* connect to any Dot that isnât the one in the same room. When I got my first set of lights with one Dot in the same room, they were great. But as Iâve expanded with more bulbs and more Echo devices, theyâve become less and less reliable. At this point, they are virtually unusable with Alexa. Theyâre more reliable when I connect them directly to my phone, but that completely defeats the purpose of having smart lights for the whole family. It probably doesnât help that Iâm in a town house with dozens of visible WiFi networks and six access points (separation of IoT devices from personal devices). This is why itâs all that much more important that these bulbs be able to connect intelligently to where they can get a signal. If I had to start over again, Iâd pick a dedicated IoT network standard (e.g. Zigbee). I thought the Bluetooth mesh would help me avoid the WiFi issues caused by a large number of slow devices on the network. Instead, itâs not smart enough to talk to devices right next to it.

App is terrible
Can’t connect the lights to both Alexa and their app, which is sitting at a 1.4 rating. I mainly wanted to use this for my alexa, but I can’t dim the lights so part of the functionality is missing to me unless I want to reset the lights to the app. Would be awesome if alexa and their app worked together like the groove lights. Other than that the lights themselves work as intended.

2 months in and already broken
I bought these bulbs because I bought a 4 pack when I moved into my new house and here we are over a year later and they still work, no connection issues and connect fast. The newer version which I received in January one of the bulbs already stopped working. It will not reset or connect to wifi. The older ones do require the Sengled app to connect and the new ones go straight through the Alexa app. I have done all the troubleshooting and nothing. I reached out to customer service for Amazon and all they did was offer a refund when I just want a working bulb. They are now more expensive than when I bought them and honestly having to go through the trouble to go return and still have no bulbs is frustrating. I basically paid 20 bucks for 1 smart bulb, clearly their quality has gone down in the past year. Gave the 2 stars for the simple fact the other one is still working and I did like not having to use the app. Also the newer ones are noticeabley slower than the old ones and less vibrant, which doesn’t bother me but it did bother my husband. My 3 year old could care less, bummer that I don’t have what I paid for though.

Sengled app a bit odd but once set up theyâre super bright and small fit. Easy to install, easy to play with and change color. Connectivity popped up no problem in directions. They stay cool. 10/10

As a crafting business owner and jeweler, I’m always on the lookout for innovative lighting solutions that can enhance both my workspace and living areas. When I came across the Sengled Alexa Light Bulbs, I was intrigued by the promise of color-changing capabilities and compatibility with Alexa. On the positive side, the color-changing feature of these bulbs is quite impressive. With a wide range of colors and brightness levels, they allow me to create various ambiance settings to suit different moods and occasions. The ability to control them with voice commands via Alexa adds an extra layer of convenience, especially when my hands are occupied with crafting materials or jewelry pieces. However, there are a few drawbacks that I’ve encountered. Firstly, these bulbs only work with Alexa and do not support other smart home platforms like Google Assistant or Apple HomeKit. This limited compatibility may be a downside for those who use different voice assistants or prefer a more integrated smart home setup.Additionally, I’ve noticed that the setup process can be a bit finicky at times, especially when connecting the bulbs to my Wi-Fi network. While the Sengled app provides step-by-step instructions, I found myself having to troubleshoot connectivity issues occasionally, which can be frustrating.Overall, while the Sengled Alexa Light Bulbs offer some impressive features like color-changing capabilities and voice control, their limited compatibility and occasional setup challenges make for a somewhat mixed experience. They’re a decent option for adding smart lighting to your home or workspace, but be prepared to spend some time troubleshooting during setup.

Bought these for our bedside table lamps thinking that they would seamlessly connect to my current smart home setup. That is not the case. You need an ADDITIONAL Sengled app to connect them (that has almost no features and/or different features than the original Sengled app) and it does not work with our google home.Waste of a prodcut and waste of money. Why not just make one bulb that connects with the eco system you have already created? It makes zero sense as a business move. So infuriating.
