Authentic Ring Product
This wall plate conversion kit worked perfectly for my application! My home had a larger 4screw Ring doorbell mounted when we moved in and I wanted to mount my Pro 2screw version in place of it. Trying to install anchors proved difficult as they kept getting loose, using this plate and cover with the 4screw mounts worked perfectly and securely! I highly recommend this one!

Perfect fit for the Pro 2
The plate does exactly what it claims, hiding old drill holes from an older doorbell. If you don’t have existing holes to hide, this is more of an optional item.The plate has two parts that snap together. The under-plate has mounting holes to use the provided screws to attach to the house. You then add the cover over this, and then use the other provided screws to attach the doorbell.The top plate claims to be paintable, but I’m leaving it black. For our needs, this hides the existing holes, fit the Pro 2 perfectly with all holes lining up, and looks decent on our house.

Perfect fit for Wired Pro 2 (2021 release)
This Retrofit Kit for Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 (2021 release), fits Wired Pro 2 (2021 release) perfectly! The brass inserts on the front plate are about 4.25″ apart which is perfect for the Wired Pro 2 (2021 release) which is about 4.25″ apart.The holes on the back plate will not fit the the old holes for the original doorbell or the old Ring 2 with or without the wedge mount.I had to drill 4 new holes. 2 for hole C to attach the back plate to my door frame, and 2 behind the brass inserts because the screws are too long, and needed a place to go behind the back plate. A little extra room for the wires would be nice too, but I made it work.Why did this kit not come with the Ring Video Doorbell Pro 2 (2021 release)?

Perfect Fit Works Great
So while like other I think this should come with the newer Ring Doorbell’s, my review is on the actual adapter plate. I went from the Original Ring Doorbell Version 2 and Upgraded to the Ring Pro 2. This plate fit the original mounting hole perfectly so the inserts I had drilled into the concrete did not have to be changed I just used the new screws and in 5 minutes I was mounting the the new doorbell. This is a great time savings and was worth the extra $9 fir my time, effort savings. If you already have one if the older full size ring doorbells do yourself a favor and get this.

I can’t mention any of the above because none of which has anything to do with the retro fit mount. They are irelavent to liking or dis liking the retro fit mount. The retro fit mount is the exact same as the original mount that came with the ring door bell pro. Upon coming outwith the ring door bell pro 2 they replaced it with a useless and utterly worthless angle mount. That only points to the left. With making the angle mount they totally disregarded the need to be able to see what’s going on to the right and focused solely on the whole left side and the entire porch. I dont know about u buy i want to see everything left, right, front, middle and most importantly the street and side walk. So yeah. Hence why it was a must to purchase the retro fit mount.

DOES NOT FIT VIDEO DOORBELL PRO 2
If you think this retrofit kit fits for the doorbell pro 2, it DOES NOT I contacted Ring and they said it would fit. I don’t understand why they stopped shipping the flat plates but instead curve mounts now for the Doorbell Pro 2. First, the metals screws on the retrofit kit does not even line up with the doorbell pro 2. I so glad I didnt drill the retrofit kit or I wouldnt be able to return/refund it. DO NOT buy this if you have the doorbell pro 2, it will not fit. Especially the included curve mount pockets the doorbell, protecting it from the weather and rain. Retrofit plate can NOT!

I had the Ring Doorbell 2. I upgraded to the Ring Doorbell Pro 2. After I removed my Doorbell 2, there was some discoloration so I needed this to cover that up since the Ring Doorbell Pro 2 is smaller. So now it looks professional. I think all Doorbell Pro 2 users should use this; without it, your install might look cheap.
