    Doesn’t respond quickly and notification app is even slower
    We purchased two DBCAM-TRIMBR2 SkyBell Trim 2 Wi-Fi Video Doorbells because they are compatible with our installed alarm system. The idea was to have video captured in one place, which it accomplishes effectively. However, we did notice some drawbacks. When an alert is triggered and reaches our phones, it can take nearly a minute or more before the application opens. This delay often results in the visitor having left by the time we access the live view. Additionally, the sensitivity of the device is sometimes too high, capturing even minor movements like leaves rustling or birds passing by.Another issue we encountered is that the camera’s light doesn’t activate immediately upon detecting motion at night; there’s a delay of about 20-30 seconds. Despite contacting tech support and them attributing the problem to our Wi-Fi speed, we have verified that our wireless signal strength is strong (5 bars) and our internet speed is a solid 1 Gig, as expected. This leads us to believe that tech support may not fully understand the issue.On a positive note, if you don’t need to integrate it with your alarm system, the video storage is free, eliminating the need for monthly or annual fees. In conclusion, the device does function adequately, and it competes well with other brands. However, there is room for improvement in the technology to make it more reliable and practical.

    Always goes offline
    We bought this is integrate with our existing Honeywell cameras. This is a terrible choice for a door camera. I wish I would have just gotten a ring or something similar. It always goes offline, about 90% of the time, despite our excellent wifi. Also the app is terrible and slow. When it is working it takes forever to pull up real time video which defeats the point. When its offline, to reset it you have to delete and reinstall the camera connection to the app and that doesn’t work each time. Overall terrible experience.

    biggest piece of garbage you can waste your money on
    good luck to anyone who wants to buy this “made in Vietnam” garbage. the instructions are less than 100 words. downloaded the app “total connect 2..0” but does not give the option to register an account in the app. The “help” page only goes in circles. when trying to register an account on their website, it ASKED for a thermostat Mac ID and no information whatsoever regarding the Skybell series. good luck!

    Hit or miss, mostly miss
    Got one of these with Meritage townhomes purchase. It’s pretty crappy. Will capture the neighbors car but constantly misses capturing deliveries to my front door.
