    These are amazing. The amount of light it puts out creates such a nice ambience! Perfect addition to our living room. The Govee app allows for a customized look you can change in an instant! Would totally recommend!

    Wasn’t really sure what to expect and I didn’t have a specific use for this going in.The light bar arrives in two parts and you have to fit them together. This is very easy to do but does leave a little line/gap between the two pieces after it’s assembled. Would’ve looked a little nicer if it came as a single piece.Downloaded the Govee Home app and paired it to my phone. Setup WiFi access for the device and started playing with the different settings and scenes. Some of them are quite nice and low key. I supposed someone younger might prefer the very brightly colored scenes.I found the music synchronization to be a bit disappointing. Honestly, it just didn’t react as much much as I would expect. Maybe my music needed to be louder though.Unfortunately after about 10 minutes, the novelty wears off. At least it did for me.Might be useful as a monitor backlight if you choose a scene that’s not too active and distracting. Unfortunately, there’s no camera or other device to synch colors to the content on the monitor or TV itself – though Govee DOES make those kits and I would actually be more interested to review one of those.All in all it’s a novel device and I’m sure it will find an audience. It’s not overly expensive and seems well made. The app also installs easily and works well.

    Atmospheric light that is easy to set up, App provides many options.
    The Govee wall sconce is more for setting ambiance then providing useful light. The light it produces is similar to dim theatre lights that are just bright enough to let people navigate to their seats. The light from its LED array is directed toward the wall. The LED lights are capable of a wide range of colors, though it has limits and may fail to hit an exact color (for instance its orange looks a lot like yellow).The Govee app is well laid out. It has a large number of scenes (lighting effects) to choose from for different activities or moods. It is also possible to simply set it to a single color or create your own light effect. If white light is wanted, the color temperature and brightness can be set. With automation, the light can be programmed to come on at a specific time with the light settings you want. In reading the product description on Amazon, I did not realize the light also comes with a physical switch. The switch includes a power and brightness button. When used to turn it on, the sconce will return to its last used settings.The sconce arrives well packaged, with each component in its own protective box. It is separated into two sections to make packaging easier. Joining the two halves is trivial, just plug the cable together, then the halves snap together with very little force. The box includes a mounting plate and level bubble. In addition to the fastener package the back of the mounting plate has 3M tape strips to secure it in place. The sconce does not weigh much, so drywall is able to hold it, no need to locate and anchor to a stud. It is necessary to plug the sconce into an outlet. The included cord is around 10′ in length.

    Fun Vibes
    This light brings some fun vibes to my office. I currently just have it on the top of a shelf, so can’t speak to how easy it is to hang on the wall, but I love it where it is. I like being able to change from fast rainbow to slow rainbow to a solid color based on my mood. It’s easy to change the setting and also the brightness from the controls on the cord. I haven’t tried the app yet, but it looks like there are even more options for color settings there, so I can’t wait to experiment.
