Not a one for one replacement for older model
I purchased these cameras to replace older models that have worked well for a couple of years, but now have fogged lenses. I did not buy the solar panels to go with it, thinking I could hook the old solar panels into these cameras. Not so. I then had to purchase two new solar panels to fit the USB-C connectors, And still cannot get them to work. And of course itâs past the 30 day return window so now Iâm stuck with two cameras that I canât use. My recommendation is not to buy panels and camera separately – always buy the bundle. Otherwise, Iâve always been happy with my Reolink cameras and the app. The only functionality issues I have is 1) the delay of approximately three seconds. Many times by the time I get the alert whatever off the cam is gone, and 2) The camera will record fine for a while, and then suddenly says the SD card isnât formatted. Youâre supposed to be able to format the card within the camera but when I do, it says itâs been format successfully, but then the next time it tells me again it couldnât record because the SD card isnât formatted. I have seven of these cameras around my property and have had this issue with three of them. I havenât figured out a solution yet. Those cameras work well for alerting and viewing live, but you cannot save to the SD card for later viewing.

DO NOT BUY! GARBAGE! Not waterproof like claimed, wish I could get my money back
Do not trust Reolink or their products.Since purchasing 4 Reolink Argus Eco cameras and 4 solar panels in July 2020, 2 more of the same cameras and 2 more solar panels in July 2021, I have had 2 cameras die and all 6 solar panels die within a year of purchase. I contacted back when the initial issues happened to no reply.2. I currently still have 2 cameras of the Argus Eco model and as of a few days ago (6 days before this review was written), one decided it is no longer connecting. I did a factory reset and it goes through all prompts and says “Connection to the router s….” and cuts off before finishing the sentence. After that it will not connect and I just have a red light and a blue light flashing on the front of the camera. I have reset the camera numerous times, it goes through and scans the QR Code and same cut off message. Same flashing lights. How do I fix this? Won’t ever know, I finally, for the first time in 4 years, got a contact back and got brushed off and told they won’t be doing anything. They told me buy the new versions of theor faulty products.I spent HUNDREDS on the cameras and panels and to be down to 3 cameras ONLY is ridiculous. All panels and 2 cameras within 1 year of purchase and no reply until they are out of warranty. The camera is barely 4 years old.I have been contacting these people since the first camera issue and they finally answer after the warranty is up? How convenient…Original review below……These cameras are great but I’ve had 2 malfunction. 1 somehow got filled with water and shorted out, another doesn’t charge anymore unless the plug is sitting a certain way… so I had to finagle a temporary fix so it will charge. My other 2 of the 4 I have are under a roof so no elements get them. The plus sides are they have amazing picture quality and stay charged for a great deal of time, even without the solar panels.

Better than our hard wired Video Rig that Cost $10,000
super clear, simple to install, seems to operate on weak Wifi signals. The night view is like daytime. To be clear, these cameras are used outdoor , and, indoor. The indoor mounts are used in a zoo-setting -focused on thermostats, and on certain animal enclosures. The night view is nearly as clear as a current Iphone. We have 8. They all work, they were simple to install- and as noted- they beat out a costly hard wired system we have

Absolutely so easy…yes I’m already recommending these to my friends.
Easy set up to my wi-fi, no struggling with 2.4 versus 5 band connections. Easy and simply…the way it should be. I like the app on the phone. Maybe the only feature I can’t find (if it available) is setting a motion detection zone to be focused on a certain area. So you could eliminate the street traffic or some other motion heavy spot in the field. But again…these were a breeze. I used a 128 micro SD card to store recording so no experience with the cloud service.

Reolink Solar Cameras
These are good little solar cameras that you can install in places where you do not have to hook them up to electrical lines in order for them to work. The quality is not as good as a 4G camera would be, but you’re also not paying the price for 4G. I have four of these around my house and I like the fact that they are connected to your cell phone so that you can monitor your home at any given time. For security of mind, they are well worth the price.
