Excellent Apple HomeKit compatibility!!
Was looking to automate some lamps in my house. My requirements:* Reasonable price* Apple HomeKit compatible* No additional hubs required.These Refoss Smart WIFI Outlets fit the bill perfectly. The installation was dead simple:1. Turn on lamp2. Unplug lamp from outlet3. Plug Refoss Smart WIFI Outlet into wall4. Plug lamp into Refoss outlet5. Open Apple HomeKit app on your Apple device and select Add Device6. Scan QR code on side of Refoss outlet7. Wait 30-60 seconds for the outlet to be recognized and proceed with naming the device and it’s location in the HomeKit app.A-Thing-Of-Beauty!!!! This is how ALL automation accessories should work – especially those that claim to be Apple HomeKit compatible. No need for a third-party app, no need for account creation anywhere.Be aware if you research these devices, they are manufactured by Meross and indeed they seem to be indistinguishable from their “Meross”-branded counterparts. Very happy with the purchase. I am happy that I can give the outlets more custom schedules than even applehome allows from the meross app.Personally there are times where the device does not respond when I ask siri to turn on, which is a pain, but if i go to meross app i can click it on manually, or just press the button on the device itself. This is strange because i gave 2 of the outlets to my GF and hers never has that problem, so i wonder if its a wifi connectivity issue, perhaps my connection isnt as stable?

Bought several of the four packs and loved them for the first 2 months. I was thrilled to find an outlet thatâs easily connected to my Apple home that Siri can control with voice. These outlets worked perfectly fine at first, but after 1-2 months, they just stop working, become unresponsive and blink orange. I followed all of the reset instructions (basically holding down the reset button for 5 seconds) and the outlet still hasnât been restored. Iâve contacted customer service, support just sent me mother same reset instructions. No help at all.I have about 12 of these in my home attached to assorted lamps, etc. one goes out every month. So far Iâm down 6 outlets but itâs been over 30 days so now I canât return. Sucks.

Works with Android phone and Alexa… but a little tricky to set up
These smart plugs worked without a problem when I controlled them from my ehomelife phone app. The main reason I bought these plugs was because according to the description I would be able to control them using Alexa. It was somewhat challenging to get Alexa to recognize the devices at first (I experienced several trial-and-error attempts); First I had to install the eHomeLife app on my phone and set up my eHomeLife account. Then I had to enable the eHomeLife skill in Alexa (make sure you remember your eHomeLife log-in information when you set up your eHomeLife account because you will need this info to enable the eHomeLife Alexa skill). Then after setting up each device in the eHomeLife mobile app I had to go into the Alexa app and add each device in Alexa. Although setting up these devices to work with Alexa was not the most seamless, user-friendly process, I suppose it was somewhat worth it, since the price of these plugs was decent. I would only get these if you have some tech “know how” and enough patience to take the time to set them up. If I knew then what I know now about how tricky these would be to set up, I probably would have bought a different brand with better user ratings – even if it meant spending a little more.

Easy Setup with Home
Apple Home is the only app needed to set these plugs up. All I had to do was go to app, tap add accessory and scan the QR on the plug itself. Bam, it’s that easy. I was so surprised. Yes, smart home Newbie here. I did start to follow directions with download of company app, but that wasn’t needed at all to use with Apple Home.
