Great backup battery!
Had our battery powered Ring 2 doorbell cam for 3-4 years. Been operating just on the lone battery that it came with. That means every 6-8 weeks I had to have ~12 hours of downtime when the battery died and I needed to recharge. And as our OG battery ages, that 6-8 weeks is more like 4 weeks especially in the winter.This battery certainly appears to be physically identical to the OEM battery. See pics for comparison. Nothing different other than the print. It fit right into the unit without any problems. Same old school mini USB charger (eye roll).Functionality: see pics but it shows up at 100% charge upon install. How long that lasts is still TBD but will update if itâs bad. Even if this one lasts 50% of the original itâs a win since I wonât HAVE to have any downtime.Value: seems like a smart buy to have a backup. My OG is charging while this one is pulling its first shift.Happy with this purchase!UPDATE: One month in and the battery is at 35% in my doorbell. I’m guessing the last 35% will go faster than the first 35% (batteries gonna battery) but i’m overall very happy with this longevity as an off-brand backup to my OEM battery.
