    I love it!!!!
    It really transforms the look of my bedroom and living room. I can go from nice ambient lighting to cool theme lighting to “I need to find something” lighting. I set up my bedroom separately from my living room area and used the Lutron light switches and the Philips Dimmer Switches. It was very easy to configure rooms and then zones with the Philips Hue app and the accessories. I really love this configuration with everything on the Hue Bridge.

    The main reason I bought this is that I want some fun multiclored lights to play with, without creating an account and having to log in to something to turn on a freakin’ light bulb. And it works great…for now… But in the Hue app there’s a message that an account will be required in the near future.So for now, present day, this is performing as advertised and provides a networked smart light solution without having to give anyone your personal information. But if that account requirement ever goes live, I will be returning and knocking this review down to three stars.Because requiring an account to turn on a LIGHT BULB… It’s a freakin light bulb!!! Why do you need a username and password for a LIGHT BULB?!

    Just what I needed
    Just starting the smart house journey. Buying this got me the basics to see what this system is and what it can do. The hub is needed if you have over 50 items and gives you some advanced features. Very cool. The lights were great to test out in various rooms and out in front of my house. After testing I bought additional lights for out in front of the house. Added a theme to it and set it up for Halloween colors. Christmas next. Also can have it go on and off at certain times to save electricity and not have to think about it. Also bought a light for the bathroom to use as a night light. Changed the color to a dim bluish-purple and have it on a timer also. Perfect. Will figure out other areas as I explore.

    Perfect. Fantastic.
    Easy to use. Phenomenal app and experience. The hub has an amazing range and connectivity – far surpasses my regular zwave and zigbee hubs. The bulbs are the best in the business.I use deeply, wiz, sengled bulbs. Hue is the best for reliability, color, dimming, responsiveness.

    Patience!
    Not as easy as the instructions provided or on YouTube. After plugging it in the bridge and only two blue dots displayed. I followed their instructions and turn off VPN, resetting the bridge multiple times, unplugging & waiting 30 seconds and still had two blue dots. This morning, with two blue dots displayed on the bridge, I then tried going through setup using just two dots and after downloading the updates, there were three dots! With brain exhausted, I then set up my desk light and went for a 2-hr hike with my dogs.
