    Stopped working after 4 months
As other reviews stated, these do not last. Device stopped working after about 4 months. Now it makes a slight clicking noise, status blue light is barely visible, will not connect to a network / the smart app. All smart Wi-Fi plugs are unusable now.Looking at recent reviews of this product, many people are having similar problems making their power strip unusable. It does not appear to be a one-off issue and is a mass production issue.Highly recommend looking elsewhere for a smart power strip.

    Good quality surge protector
Good quality surge protector that I am currently using for my gaming computer and office set up. I love the fact that I can control it from my phone and the ease-of-use couldn’t be better. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality search protector or just wanting to clear up a little bit of clutter while having power control at your fingertips

Horrible customer service. Horrible product – AVOID
I bought two of these to integrate with my other Philips electronic products. They NEVER worked as smart strips. Ever. I tried calling customer service – they relayed me through multiple customer service options and none of them were able to help me (6 hours wasted). So then I ended up just using them as power strips. The first one started having the light start flashing within 3 months. It died within 5 months. The second kept working for almost 9 months as a simple strip… it died suddenly. I tried calling Philips. Their system hung up on me. I tried the online chat. The guy (AJ) gave me another number to call and ended the chat automatically, giving me no chance to ask a question or follow up. The number was wrong and then hung up on me as well. Now I have two dead and useless strips with no support from the supplier; I am very dissatisfied with Philips’ customer service and behavior. All of this happened in under 1 year of owning the product.

    Just get Kasa
I tried this product multiple times and each time it eventually suffers some fatal malfunction: not powering on at all, not connecting, randomly going on and off, making a continuous clicking sound when connected to power. There are so many excellent products in this category, this is not one of them.

Just a Flash in the Pan! Only Worked Well for 9 1/2 Weeks
I bought this surge protector because I really liked the SmartSelect feature, which automatically turns on lights and box fans on a schedule. Easy to use the Philips SmartSelect app; remember you need Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth turned on for your mobile device. Worked well until………Only after 9 1/2 weeks, the surge protector stopped working properly. I tried to power it on-off-on per the instructions on the app, but all I got back were audible clicks coming from the surge protector, and an indicator light struggling to connect. Tried to look for troubleshooting tips on Philips’ website, but could not find anything on this model. To be fair, I bought this on sale; however, the current price is back to normal. I wouldn’t want anyone else to pay the full price and be disappointed after only a short run. I cannot return the product because the return period has passed. I just hope my other surge protectors like this continue to work.JULY 2024 UPDATE:The second one finally died after 10-11 months. Got lucky that this one lasted longer, but that is still indicative of a poorly designed and built product. Buy something else; I’m just gonna revert back to smaller mechanical timers!Buyer beware, or just be lucky you don’t get a dud for your order!

Easy to setup but after 17 days the 3 wifi outlets quit
Returning for refundAfter 17 days, the 3 wifi sockets went offline and turned off. Nothing we tried, including following tech & videos, would get it back. Power button no light, so couldn’t get to pairing mode to reconnect. 3 always on still worked but I need 4 sockets and used 2 and 2.Philips is usually good but I’m moving on to try another brand for my need.

Smart strips stop working after awhile
I have not had this strip long and it’s out of its return window. 🤬🤬I brought this strip because I needed one with a longer. The smart plugs worked well for awhile but started turning off and on whenever. I tried every troubleshooting and did not have a schedule set up. This morning it just shut off and I can’t get it to reconnect. I now have to buy another strip and it won’t be this brand

As with many other reviews here, my unit stopped working after an unacceptable short period—6 months. A continuous clicking sound is the indication, seems to be no way to reset it—the unit has failed. Very disappointed and frustrated, I used this ‘smart’ power bar for three Alexa-enabled products and will now have to find and program a new power bar and set up/configure new routines—I shouldn’t have to do that after only 6 months!
