I have programmed many WIFI switches over the years and this one was very confusing to setup following the included instructions. If you follow the instructions step by step I doubt you will be able to pair the device to Smart life. I had to have the blue light blink slowly and set the WIFI to Smart Life in order to pair the device to my phone. The price was right but I paid for the time I spent to pair it.

Plug burned out in less than 30 days of usage.
I received this item on 8 Mar 2023 and started using it around the beginning of April since I was opening up my pool. Once the pool was ready for cleaning, I used the plug on the timer, so it did not run constantly, and yesterday I was wondering why the pool had not been coming on for the past 2 days. I checked the outlet and everything else was working that I plugged into the outlet and the green light was on. I then unplugged the timer and saw the area was fried. Because it is past 30 days I cannot return it. So sad. This is my 2nd one and at least the other one lasted over a year.

Pain in the butt to configure
The plug works great ONCE you get it configured. I followed the instructions and it did not work. I did follow the instructions on the app and learned the secret. The device has a built WIFI and you must connect to that network to get the device configured. First, you follow the instructions and wait for the app to time out looking for the device. Then you use “alternative pairing” search to follow the directions to join the WIFI of the device. The key is getting the device to broadcast the WIFI. You must wait until the app is about the time out and press the button on the device for an additional 5 seconds to get a slow blue flash. Then the device will broadcast its WIFI. Then the alternate paring method works.
