No, they are not addressable. The entire Lightstrip can only show 1 color at a time, but you still have more than 16M colors to choose from, and color Scenes to allow your Lightstrip to transition between colors!

Yes, you can cut and bend them. Just make sure to cut along the indicated cut marks on your Lightstrips. Also, be aware that once cut, they can not be reattached together.

    Great lights with great app
    I adore these lights, they really add a lot to my set up as I put them behind my bookshelf for the backglow.They’re very bright and color accurate, the app is also great and has tons of settings you can play around with.They’re most definitely worth the price!

    Very Bright but needs little work
    This light strip it very bright due to its large number of white led’s. The color is very good but not as bright. The dimming is accurate. It is connecting quickly with my SmartThings hub. But is finnicky to connect it to the Nanoleaf app once it is connected with SmartThings and the opposite as well.The app isn’t intuitive. You can download lots of patterns but the quantity per light is limited.I like the 4 buttons on the controller for on/off, color and ± brightness. But I wish it would include daylight white as well.The plastic tube around the light strip protects it and diffuses the light but is makes it very stiff. There is a short cable between the controller and the strip. It is very stiff and difficult to connect to the light strip. A round cable would be better. I wish it would have addressable led’s for better effects like others in this quality and price range. The Matter over Tread connection was the selling point here.

    Work great for kids room
    We have two of these, one in each of our kids rooms. We attached them to the headboard on their beds and use them for a few functions.1. We read to our kids each night. We have a HomeKit scene setup so we can say “Time for bed [kid’s name]” and the light turns on as a white reading light. We also can say “Goodnight [kid’s name]” and the lights turn off entirely.2. We setup HomeKit automations so that on weekdays the lights turn as an yellow/orange color at 7% about 15 minutes before their wakeup time, then turn green at 20% when it is time to get up. This lets them know they shouldn’t be out of bed too early (and when they should be up) in a gentle way. We can use similar settings for weekends to help remind them they shouldn’t wake us up too early if needed.3. The kids can turn the lights on, play with the colors, etc. as desired using the control box on the side of their bed.These have been great (we’ve been using one of them for almost a year now). I’m considering getting one for my workspace just to be able to adjust the lighting color and brightness occasionally (I don’t have any windows).Someone else said they couldn’t get it to work well with HomeKit. We’re using scenes, Siri, automations, etc. without issue. There were a few bugs with earlier firmware versions but there haven’t been any issues for a long time now and those were minor enough that we got them for our other child about three months after the first (they were requested as a birthday wish).

    White color balance is terrible
    Adhesive doesn’t stick well. No diffusion for lights so to get a warm white you clearly see two different color LEDs, doesn’t sync with their 4d, connectors from the strip to the controller are flimsy. I bought two, installed one and then tossed it for all the reasons above. Returning the unopened one.

    The LED’s are great, but otherwise extremely frustrating
    Where to even start with this one. Starting with the good – The light produced by these is great, ranging from dim mood lighting to very bright to light the room. The custom color options work really well and can produce some neat effects.Now for the bad – the software is the most frustrating thing ever. The app for PC doesn’t work at all, which is shocking that a professional company can’t even get its own app to work in todays era. If the power goes out, it’s likely to lose it’s connection to the network and you’ll have to delete your setup and start from scratch, which is incredibly annoying. They often just… stop responding. Either the app can’t find it, or if you have it linked through Google Home, one will find it but the other can’t (is the app will see it but Google can’t, or Google can find it but the app can’t). It’s just an extremely frustrating system. When it works, it works great… but it *doesn’t* work far more often than it does. In hindsight I’d go with another product

    Used as under-cabinet lighting!
    I have the prior version of this and some extensions, which I’ve used to give me HomeKit controllable lighting in my closet that still has a manual switch control available (as well as voice control with Siri). When I did some work in my kitchen, I wanted to add some under cabinet lighting, and after checking to find out that subpar “dumb” under cabinet lighting would cost as much or even more than the price of this, it was easy to order another of these to use in my kitchen. Now I have the physical control as well as HomeKit integration to add lighting to my Kitchen setup. Now, my Eve motion sensor can turn this on in a very warm color late at night if I go in for a cup of water. No need flip a switch or even remember to turn it off, as soon as 5 min of no motion register in the Eve, the light is shut off. My HomeKit setup is Nanoleaf (Lightstrips, bulbs, and the Canvas wall panels) with Lutron Casetta dimmers for all of my light switches, and a couple of Casetta plug in dimmers for other lamps, with Pico remotes added for additional controls. I use some Eve motion sensors and Eve energy plugs, with a handful of Wemo plugs for a few minor remote on/off plugs.

    Nice light, terrible connections
    The connectors on this are very fragile and will flicker or disconnect if you even look at them funny. Light works well but the app connectivity is spotty. I was shipped an Amazon renewed item but that was not disclosed when I ordered it. This is my second of these and my experience was the same with the new unit I received previously. Had I known I was getting a renewed item I would have ordered elsewhere as I know the pins on the connectors are tiny and delicate. However, everything appears to be fine though the unit was clearly unboxed and assembled previously.

    The light strip is wider than most so I had to purchase an extract wide channel. Thai light strip is 15 mm wide so make sure you find a diffuser channel that can accommodate it.Unfortunately, when the light strip arrived it had been used and cut before being returned.Amazon has issued a refund but was unable to exchange the lights at this time. I’m still hoping to purchase in the future but it is very disappointing to have been sent such an obviously damaged product that was sold as new.

    I don’t know where this is to be used. The design is very odd, as it has almost no bend and give. I tried the loop method to get around corners. Unfit for purpose.Unless you’re going to do a straight line, go with something else. No wonder they are always on sale.
