The price maybe good but the qulity is terrible, it alway disconnects from the wireless connection and at this time I cant even get it to connect again.. Bad idea trying to safe a few buck

Awesome doorbell camera, horrible software/firmware.
I have this setup outside my apartment door and it works great. The only problem I have is the software is slower than cold molasses, it’s pathetic. I’m using a plugin doorbell transformer, ASIN: B0B6HYC2S6, to provide power to it. Except for the horribly slow software this doorbell is awesome! With how good it is excluding the software/firmware; I find it worth keeping.

THE MOTION DETECTION, NIGHT VISION AND PICTURE QUALITY ARE FINE WITH THIS DEVICE, HOWEVER IT JUST LOSES CONTACT WITH MY TOP OF THE LINE WIFI WITHIN A FEW DAYS AFTER LINKING IT BY PUSHING THE RESET BUTTON, EVEN THOUGH IT HAS A CONSTANT POWER SUPPLY. IT WON’T RECONNECT FROM THE WIFI OR THE APP. PERHAPS THIS IS BECAUSE I AM ONLY USING THE FREE SERVICE, AND NOT THE PAID SERVICE, WHICH I FRANKLY DON’T NEED. I’M NOT IMPRESSED.

I originally gave this doorbell camera a poor, 2 star review due to its performance. I was always impressed by the quality of the camera and its accessories. It arrived very well packaged and the installation was quick and easy using the printed instructions and the guidance in the AOSUlife app. There is also an independent YouTube video reviewing the camera and installation. The AOSUlife app is easy to use and provides good quality video. The cameras comes with 7gb of local storage but you can also purchase cloud-based storage. But, initially I had problems with the camera’s motion detection. It was very inconsistent in what was being recorded. I contacted their customer assistance and technical support and, at first, I was a bit disappointed at the lack of results. However, their technical team were actually working on a firmware update which took some time. They recently sent me information on the update and, since I applied it, the camera has been working much better. There are still times when it picks up some of the cars passing my house and, on a windy day, I get extra events from branches and debris blowing by my porch. That is minor. I work in IT and have seen the same problems with very expensive security cameras. The important thing is that necessary and relevant events such as deliveries and visitors are recorded accurately. When I originally posted my 2-star review, I saw other reviews mentioning the same problems with the motion detection. Based on what I am seeing, this new firmware update, which I assume is available to all users, fixes those problems. If you initially had those issues and returned the camera, or if you’re concerned by those reviews, I think the firmware upgrade has corrected this. I am much happier with the camera now and am providing this new 5-star review.

I purchased 2 of these. One for the front door and one for the back. I had no issues with them until 2 days ago. I removed both camera doorbells to charge them. One charged with no issues, while the second one just stopped working. Literally, cannot charge it or turn it back on. It is dead! I’ve looked at the instructions and googled everything to see if I could fix the problem. Nope…won’t charge or turn on.When I purchased these in July 2023 I remember reading a review where the product stopped working. Out of the 2 that I purchased, one stopped working in December of 2023. We will see how long the second one keeps working.Due to the one item that stopped working, I do wish I could return them, but obviously I can’t because the 30 day window has passed. It’s incredibly frustrating when this happens.UPDATE: the company contacted me. They were willing to refund me the money or replace the doorbell camera. I chose the replacement. I have been very happy with both of the doorbell cameras that I have. They have been working great.

Bought the Lorex doorbell it was a disaster worked for 12 hours then would never work again after that. I decided to try this one and to my suprise it works great, easy to install and hook up, it does not cause my mechanical chime to hum like the Lorex did. this is day 2 and im happy. Bought it so i have an eye on my work truck and more importatly my kids. 8/10
