    No issues
    I know this camera gets a lot of mixed reviews, but after dealing with a Ring camera linked through HomeBridge to my HomeKit setup, this camera is a revelation. I refused to use a battery-powered unit, but most are dual-power, so they are giant ugly things in case you use the batteries – I love that this one is wired-only so it’s nice and small and attractive.Notifications are fast and dynamic and it uses HomeKit Secure Video which is a massive deal. Summer hasn’t hit yet, but it never gets direct sunlight, so I’m probably good there. Video quality is great, I love the portrait orientation and the built-in light. HomeKit setup was easy and I like all of the options and automations available in the Home app, as well as direct integration with my Apple TV and HomePods.The only pain was installing the chime kit. It is actually dead simple, which was revealed to me by a YouTube video, the included instructions vastly overcomplicate it and I was livid when I thought chime functionality would require running new doorbell wires. Again, once I watched a YouTube video, it took 2mins and were in business.

    2 of these died – Won’t be fooled a third time
    I have burned through two of these in about 3 years. Bought universal transformer using multimeter and verifying within range the second time. Still died. These units can’t handle normal use. Stay clear.

    Easy to install, great video, HomeKit integration is simple
    First, note that this is not clearly delineated as a refurbished / renewed product. That being said, the item was brand new, missing only the mounting template which is not needed.The only bad thing I noted is it has zero IR capability. Instead it has a nightlight that is either on after dark, or not. It does not activate with movement.Easy to install and connect to HomeKit. Note that it does not need to use an external doorbell. It will chime through the home hub. The information is not clear about thatGreat video in daylight and at night. 2 way audio is very clear.HomeKit notifications are quick. Live Video and recordings are easily viewed when away from the home. So far, there has been no lag doing that unlike some other doorbell cams.

    Not sure these are actually refurbished/renewed
    I don’t think this was properly reset. I had to reset it myself. Even after that, it worked fine on USB, but not when connected to the house wiring. Spent a day trying to get it to work once all wired up. Replaced the transformer twice trying to get it to work.After trying everything to get it to work, I bought a new one that worked right out of the box.If this was actually refurbished, it should have been fully tested.Seems like they are just resending out broken units that were returned.

    Fantastic once you get it in HomeKit
    Getting it into HomeKit is a little tricky, I ended up using my iPad to add it since my iPhone wasn’t connecting to you appropriately. Once I got it in, it has been fantastic and the 5Ghz wifi is definitely noticeable over my old Ring Pro. LOVE the HomeKit Secure Video and once the device auto-updates to the 8.12.15 firmware you are SET! Thanks to Amazon for selling the “renewed” version of this. Probably because a bunch of people got frustrated with the HomeKit setup and returned it. Their loss, my gain!

    Worst IOT doorbell ever. Update 7-12-24
    I bought this doorbell on January took me a day to configure figured out I needed more voltage so replace the transformer camera worked most of the time. However it was intermittent and I read some reviews found out that it overheats it has not worked for the last week or two I live in the southwest, put a temperature gauge on it was 125° I cooled it down and tried to reconnect it to my Internet and it just won’t work Glad I bought the extended warrantyUpdate call Logitech support told them my problems they asked for the serial number I gave it to them. They told me how to fix it and had it fixed in five minutes. Let’s see if it holds.
