Frequently Asked Questions:

Will Litcessory products cause my lightstrip to be dimmer?

No, Litcessory products do not affect the brightness of the lights, as long as your total lightstrip run length (lightstrips plus any Litcessory product length) stays within 10 meters/33 feet, your lights will be just as bright!”

What is reverse polarity, and how do I fix it?

Reverse polarity happens when you plug in the wrong side of a 6-pin connector. The flow of electricity gets reversed, and the lightstrip won’t turn on. This is a common occurrence when setting up your project and it is easily fixed.

Is the total recommended length of the lightstrip (10 meters/33 feet) affected by the extension cable and/or an ethernet cable? Is it 10 meters/33 feet plus the length of the ethernet cable?

We recommend keeping your total lightstrip run under 10 meters/33 feet. This includes the total length of your lightstrips and any Litcessory products and ethernet cables. Some customers have reported success going over this limit, however we have not tested this.

How do I extend the distance between the controller and the lightstrip?

To extend the distance between the controller and the lightstrip, you will first need to connect one of our controller to 6-pin adapters. Then you can plug in an extension cable.

Do Litcessory extension cables have LED lights on them?

No, Litcessory products do not have any LED lights.

    They work with some caveats
So, I took a gamble on these given some of the other reviews, but they do work. The connection on the ends though, is not great. Given that they are made to work specifically with GE Cync LED strips, the connection should be akin to what you get from GE.Shame on GE for not making these 1st-party, but the company that makes these could put a little more effort into the connectors.Make sure you test the connections, tug them gently and see if they separate. If they do, apply some electrical tape and try to avoid using connectors that slip apart easily in any stressed areas of cable bending/reaching/etc.

If these worked they would be great.
I hate the GE does not sell their own extension cable for their led strip lights so you have to resort to 3rd party sellers. Unfortunately this cable causes the entire light to flicker very badly. If I use GE’s 4in cable that’s included the lights don’t flicker…… Why can’t they sell official longer cables?

  5. Jakob Howard

you only get 2 sets of pins.
I hope you didn’t want to attach both cables. you only get enough pins to attach one cable to your lights.

    Horrible
So cheap and horrible they didn’t even work.
