This is my second Imou camera product.
I bought this camera, because the first one was also Imou (the Knight) and it was so easy to set up, and the quality of the video is very good. It is essentially wire-free in that it operates on its own battery and solar panel. It is set up and operates with the Imou App on my iPhone. Additionally, both Imou cameras are ONVIF compatible, meaning that their wireless video signal can be seen by my DVR via my wireless network. And this also means that I can record the video on my DVR for free, synchronized in time with all my other cameras in my system. I wanted the camera to be wire free with the solar panel, which it is now. My only complaint is that the longest time segment that the camera will operate is for 2 minutes, then it automatically goes to sleep, waiting for movement to activate the wireless transmitter. This is fine for those who only want to catch movement in the (defined) field of view. I would like the option of having a longer “awake” time like maybe 10 minutes or more (my choice). I realize that this could deplete the battery faster, but I have technical ways of making this “not a problem”. I would like the Imou people to offer an extended time period selection, maybe in their next firmware update. That was why I took away one star for this review. Otherwise the camera is very clear, with very good color night vision and connects to my wi-fi 6 network without problems. (I am using the Eero Pro 6e wireless mesh system, with 6 Eeros in the mesh.)
