    Bulbs bad, outlets great
In an effort to get everything into one app, I ordered this set. Great deal, 2 bulbs, one outlet. The outlets are terrific, I’ve had great success with them. These bulbs just would not pair. Didn’t matter how close I was to the router, zero luck on those so back to Amazon this set goes.

I used these as a first step to smart-ifying my new home. While the smartplug set up on my first attempt, it took several attempts to get the bulbs sync’d up. I followed all directions, made sure I was on the correct WiFi band, etc. And I work in IT.As far as I can tell, I did everything correctly, it just took 3-4 attempts each to get the bulbs up and running – regardless of whether I was using the Tuya-branded or Globe Electric-branded apps. However once connected, everything is working flawlessly. You should know: the bulbs and the Globe Electric app are based on the Tuya platform, basically a Chinese white-label smart-device system that OEMs can use.I set the bulbs up with the generic Tuya Smart app, instead of the Globe Electric-branded version, which allows a wider array of third party apps to access the devices.I’ve nicely integrated things with some Google Assistant routines, along with Tasker and IFTTT.A great way to get started setting up a smart home, just remember to be patient.

Have a number of these globe products and I myself found them easy to use and connect. For anyone having problems.1) Make sure you download the globe app.2) Change your phone to the 2G wireless network not 5G this is important.3) In the globe app go to add device It’s way easier to follow this change to manual from Scan.4) select the device you are adding e.g. Bulb5) follow the simple directions have take your time most bulbs will connect after about 40 seconds.6 Rename if you want then you are done the app is user friendly.Hope this helps so for for me everything works fine.

It works awesome. Wish I could integrate it fully with apple homekit. It works great with siri and shortcuts though so we can use it. App is awesome it creates and allows good automatic scenes etc. Has good iPhone witgets too. Works without hub. Allows groups. Multiple homes and rooms.
