Connects to Phillips HUE.
I bought this hoping that it would work with my Phillips HUE setup. This controller is amazing, it connected first try and acts pretty much as the Phillips version. It didn’t require much set up to follow the preset I have made in the HUE APP. This is a way cheaper way to get strip lights into your set up than the HUE ones.

Connects up well with Home Assistant
Got this working in just under a minute with Home Assistant and Z2MQTT. Overall it puts out very nice light. The reds are slightly stronger than the blue and green, at least to my perception. This will make great accent lighting and the FCOB helps with dispersion and point definition. You will still see the pixels when looked at directly but will wash nicely in a reflective use.Bear in mind this is all a single color at a time and not addressable, so it wonât do rainbow affects or multiple colors simultaneously.

Perfect with Homeassistant
I purchased these Smart RGBWW LED Light Strips to use as a notification light at work. I often have vendors who come to my window and just stand there, sometimes without me hearing the bell. These lights are a perfect solution because they are visible from across the shop. The integration with Home Assistant is seamless. I set up a Zigbee button on the door for vendors to press when they need assistance. When pressed, Home Assistant turns on the light strip and sends notifications to me and other employees that someone needs assistance. This setup has significantly improved communication and efficiency at work.Highly recommended for anyone needing a reliable and visible notification system.

Perfect for DIY Projects – Compatible with Hue
I use Philips Hue for all lighting in my house. When it came time to upgrading the kitchen, I was tired of paying the Philips price. Also, the Hue light strips are way more complicated to deal with because they are not connectorized and trying to integrate all the wiring in the cabinets would be a pain. My cabinets also extend off the left side at 90 degrees with a pantry in the corner. I needed the ability to do custom wiring and extensions. Pair this controller and 2 meter strip with some 1 meter extensions and some 6-pin 10-foot extensions and now you have a completely customizeable solution at a fraction of the price of Philips. This particular controller is very useful in that each output is actually a spring loaded terminal. Rather than having some proprietary connector, you strip the wires bare and push them into the terminals. This allowed me to join three separate cable runs together.Regarding the distance limitations, their general guidelines are for a single line, however I have 5 meters worth of LED’s above the cabinets with about 3 meters worth of extension cable. This is possible when taking each section directly back to the controller and splitting it three ways. This combats the voltage drop.I’m also using two controllers between the top and bottom for independent control. I used 1×3 wood planks for the top sections and found nice aluminum channel from Muzata for under the cabinets. All in was about $350 plus a couple weekends of drilling through the walls and cabinets.I did have an issue with one of the controllers and the seller was quick to send a replacement and help me get it solved. Kudos for the attentive support and amazing effort to address problems. All in all, buy with confidence for a perfect Hue compatible DIY product.

Very poor quality alternative to the Philips Hue light strip
This is WAY overpriced for what you get. You might be happy with this if you are just interested in saturated colors. This can do that, but if you are trying to match any other lighting, or mix specific colors, or anything resembling white, whether warm or cool, look elsewhere. Yes it can be used with the Philips system, but not very well. This is a VERY inferior product and not so much cheaper that it is worth the savings:1. The adhesive backing is a joke. It adheres to the blue covering, not to the back of the light strip.2. Maybe because the light strip material is tacky and feels like it wasn’t properly mixed in the manufacturing process. Dust sticks to it.3. The colors are very rough.. Trying to get the same color as the other lights in your system is impossible. The Hue system allows you to gang lights together in the app in order for them to produce the same colors, and this doesn’t work with this light strip. The colors are way off, and trying to match them is an exercise in futility. Even the extension doesn’t match the original strip it’s plugged into.Very disappointed. I’m ordering the Philips version. I’ll try to find another use for this strip.Update: I’ve installed this in another room without any other color lights, and am able to get a preset that isn’t too offensive for general use. The other lights in the room are all quartz halogen, which has a very even tone and pleasing warmth as it dims. Trying to match these to that warmth produces at best an ugly greenish red instead of yellow, and it only works as more of an exaggerated orange or red complement when set at a relatively low level.
