Solid Smart Plug for the Elements
I’ve used “inside” smart plugs outside in a protected outlet cover and that works, but I always wanted one that was made for the outside. This was the one that I decided to get for that job. Here’s what I think of this plug so far:1.) It’s pretty big, so it probably won’t fit inside even a larger outlet cover. You’d have to have a huge outlet cover. However, it is made for outside.2.) I would like to have a longer cord on this device. In some situations, it will either be dangling from the outlet, which isn’t ideal, or connected to an extension cord.3.) This plug does seem to be built solidly.4.) Setup was a piece of cake using the Smart Life app.5.) I love the two plugs that can run two different devices.6.) I had no connectivity issues and this device was outside on the opposite side of the house from the router. Also, our house is brick.7.) The plug on the one I received is flat, which I prefer. The plug in the description is a standard straight plug.Minor nitpicks aside, I’m pretty excited about this dual outdoor smart plug and this will come in extremely handy for the upcoming holiday season.

15 amp outdoor Plugs for automation with Alexa
I think the best thing is that this is 15 amps outdoor plug so it can handle quite a bit of current. The Ghome app was easy to install and use. Once the Alexa skill was enabled, Alexa found it right away. You can control either the whole unit or each individual plug. Automating outside electrical use is great to save on the electric bill. With 15 amps you can even control pool pumps and outside appliances. I have one outlet for use with my outside decorations which are automated based on time as well as voice command. and the other is for my pool pump or other device that are not decorations. Good unit, I will update if anything fails due to the elements. Keep in mind you do need a good wifi signal depending on how far away from your house you install the device.

Works well and is reliable most of the time
Ever since I moved, I have been obsessed with automating everything in my house. I never wanted to do that before since I was always moving from place to place, but now since I am going to be staying here for a while, I wanted to make it feel like home. Combining smart plugs like this one with different types of motion or contact sensors is a great way to start in the home automation rabbit hole. Set up of this smart plug is extremely easy and you can do it right from the Alexa app. It guides you through the set up process. My only complaint is that it is not quite as reliable as my Wemo smart plugs, but for non-essential items (like my patio lights) it does just fine.

Fantastic outdoor wifi plugs I wish I had a long time ago
This is a fantastic dual outlet for outdoor use. I love it, and wish I had got this a long time ago instead of the clutter of wires I’ve been using that weren’t even properly water proof. It is Tuya/SL so broadly compatible with virtually any smart/automation setup there is. It is controllable as a unit, or as individual plugs, fantastic. The design is attractive, well thought out, and compact. It has a premium feel, a ‘heft’ to it, like it is properly well made. I am thrilled with it.

This little guy works as advertised. Easy to pair with the Tuya app (or your favorite Tuya flavor like Smart Life) and seems to have a pretty solid internet connection.Only reason not giving a full 5 star review is because you cannot turn off the plug individually without the app. With the app you can turn each plug (left and right) on/off independent of each other, but there is only one physical button on the device that turns both plugs off.
