Works great
I use it for my dust collector. No issues at all. I have my shop wired for 15amps. I use it frequently and never had to press the button more than once.

So convenient!
Now I can turn on my outside lights from the couch. Very nice and great quality.

great for 2-1/2 years, then pffft!
UPDATE: After I Ieft a 3-star review, the seller reached out and offered me a refund! After 2-1/2 years! How often does THAT happen? I had already ordered a new one because it was great while it lasted and reasonably priced. So I changed the review to 5-star. And I hope the new one lasts longer.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Man, I loved this thing, while it worked — no more having to turn on the dust collector manually, and even better, this thing turned off the collector and table saw at the same time, AND the table saw wouldn’t work until I pressed the button to turn the dust collector on.Everything copacetic for 2-1/2 years, then it stopped working. Changed the batteries, paired it (I think — the red lights on the outlet and and remote both came on, the outlet light flashed while I held the remote switch on, then stopped flashing. I turned the dust collector on manually, but trying to turn it off with the remote didn’t work, even though the outlet light was on while the collector was running and off when I turned the collector off manually — but the remote wasn’t working. Spent half an hour trying to make it work, double-checking pairing, etc., but no go.I guess it was cheap enough and practical enough to get a new one — won’t bother with just a new remote because it costs half the price of a whole new setup. Maybe they’ve improved it?

Be sure to get the user manual
When this package arrived, I was supposed to go to the companyâs website to get the user manual before plugging it in. Well, the website is not very user-friendly and I couldnât find this particular manual. So I tried to get it working myself and failed.I went back to the website and eventually found the instructions.1. Put the battery in the remote (+ side facing up) and close the battery cover. (This was a bit tricky as the battery kept popping out if I didnât put it in at a bit of a tilt, and then line up the cover one side at a time to get the notches connected correctly before turning.)2. Click the power button once. The light on the remote will flash red once while you click.3. Plug in the device to a 3-prong outlet and make sure the red light on the device is flashing red slowly.4. While it is still flashing, press the remote button once to pair it to the device.5. Once the device stops flashing red, it is paired to the remote. You can now use the remote to turn the device off and on.6. Plug in your lights (or whatever) and itâs ready to go! Just note that after clicking the button on the remote, it t takes a whole second or so for the lights to come on.I repeated the above steps from the start to pair the second remote. It works well, but I took off one star for the hassle of finding the user manual on the website, and the remotes being so tricky to get the batteries in. I feel like the remotes are very low quality, as if I got them from the dollar store. Hopefully they hold up.

Works like a charm.
Love the simplicity of this remote. Plug in & use. I have purchased the digital remotes in the past & they always die on me after a season & the programming for me is a pain. Nothing can go wrong with this one except a battery replacement when needed. Will be purchasing more.

Perfect
This is one of the best products I have ever used. Easy to install and use. Just plug in and go. Keep the remote nearby and turn on/off the light/fan or whatever electric needed. Previously I had to move physically to turn off/on, especially the light before going to bed, but now it is just a matter of click and boom!!!

Me gustó mucho.

Fosman manufacturers good quality, reliable electrical products. I have several Fosman products in my home i.e. surge protectors, remote indoor and outdoor switches etc. They have performed reliably for me year after year. In terms of remote switches, I particularly like Fosman’s single switch design for its remote controls i.e. one-button for on and off. It saves having to figure out which tiny little button on the remote controls of other switches actually turn things on and which turns things off. The printing on the buttons are almost always too small to read without a magnifying glass and let’s face it, you are using the switches in the dark for the most part.

Purchased this because the string lights that I installed over my back yard deck-railing lack an on-off switch, making it necessary to turn the lights on or off by stooping down to almost floor level and inconveniently reaching for the outdoor plug socket. A simple toggle switch on one end of the string lights would have been a nice touch. It’s absence is no doubt a cost-saving measure, albeit minor at that. So, on pondering solutions to this sticky wicket, it occurred to me that there are remote on-off switches out there in the tech-world…it’s just a matter of finding one — where else, of course, but on Amazon.ca. This Fosmon remote outlet on-off switch fit the bill famously, was relatively inexpensive, and boasted plentiful and great reviews on Amazon.ca, so I purchased it. What a perfect solution it turned out to be. Plugged the Fosmon wall unit into the outdoor plug outlet, paired it in seconds with the little hand-held remote unit (looks like a car key fob), plugged the string lights into the wall unit and presto. Works like a charm. Can operate the lights remotely with the press of a button while standing in my kitchen directly off the deck, a distance of a few meters. It will of course work from a much greater distance, and also through brick and glass without a hiccup. Set-up was a breeze, taking about 5 minutes including the time required to insert the remote’s battery and the time taken to pair the wall unit with the remote. Set-up instructions are easy to understand. And unlike Ikea purchases, you won’t be left with inexplicably-unused bolts or nuts, or wondering from the included instructions whether this piece goes this way, that way or the other way. My only gripe is that as sturdy as the wall unit is (it appears to be very well-built and solid), the remote unit is about as cheap and hollow a piece of plastic as you’ll find in some novelty items. It’s single button works perfectly, but the remote unit might just as well be made of balsa wood in contrast to the sturdy wall unit. I doubt if it could withstand even a short drop to a hard surface without flying apart. Because it’s something that one frequently holds, places down, and picks up, there’s lots of opportunity for dropping it; hence my gripe about it’s ‘el-cheapo’ construction. Other than that, the package overall makes for great device and real solution for finger-tip activation of lights or other electronics. Let’s hope it lasts.

Easy one button, on and off. Great to turn off porch lights with no light switch
