Works perfectly with Alexa and you can control it from an app
I was wondering how this was going to play out but now it’s my favorite new plug! It was a bit expensive compared to a basic surge protector. This things is the new surge protector; it’s built strong (at least it feels that way) it’s pretty easy to set up you do need the FEIT app so if apps are not your thing then stick to a normal surge protector that’s cheaper and might be easier for you compared to this beaut. I am computer and technology literate and I got a tiny bit confused on how the plugs would work with 1 button and 4 plugs and then some. Works great!

Where have these been all this time!
First, I am an Apple user and have been so disappointed in using Apple compatible 3rd party compatible devices. I discovered FEIT when I purchased some smart lightbulbs and then discovered this programmable strip. Believe it or not, EACH plug on the strip is individually programmable and the FEIT app is 100% compatible with my Amazon Echo (Alexa). I have extensive track lighting in a 600 square foot great room and this strip now controls all of these lights as well as track lighting system in another room. It is so very simple to program and you can even comman ALEXA to turn on “x lights” at sunset or any other time you choose. I bought two of these strips and they completely replaced EIGHT othe (expensive) plug/switches. the only difference is that these strips work every time.

    Great outlet extension
Easley program each outlet, no extra timer needed…just program on and off in each outlet on the app.

Loss of Power Does Resets Settings
Replaced 3 typical smart plugs with one power strip using less space with same functionality. Space is an important issue. Works as expected except when power is lost (which happens fairly often here), the ports revert to off rather than the state when power was lost. Which means, Alexa must be used to turn them back on. Main issue is that one of the four ports is used to provide power to a cordless phone which is left on constantly. Must remember to use the app to turn power back on to the cordless phone after a power loss. A setting of “always on” would have been nice but am adapting. Otherwise, this is a nice strip and meets most of my needs.

    Stopped working after 2 months
At first, I was impressed by the versatility and convenience of this smart power strip. It seamlessly integrated into my smart home setup, allowing me to control multiple devices with ease. However, my satisfaction was short-lived as the power strip unexpectedly ceased functioning after just two months of use.Despite working flawlessly initially, its sudden failure was disappointing and inconvenient. Despite attempting troubleshooting steps, I was unable to revive its functionality, leaving me frustrated and dissatisfied. While the smart power strip offered promising features, its inability to maintain consistent performance beyond a brief period raises concerns about its reliability and longevity. Therefore, I would cautiously recommend this product, with a warning about its potential to fail prematurely.

    Prevented a small fire
Each individual outlet (and the USB charging ports) will be off by default when this strip loses power. I wish it was “smart” enough to remember individual settings on power loss, but at least all your devices won’t be running amok when you aren’t home just because the power dipped. So with that in mind, I’d say this smart strip is best suited for a group of simple devices that you want to control remotely but are usually off. For example, I use it for controlling novelty lights, especially during Christmas when I can set a timer for my tree. But if you don’t have multiple things to control in the same area, then consider getting a normal power strip with an individual Feit Smart Outlet Plug to control a single device. Plugging normal things into this strip that you want on 24/7 is just a waste of money and a potential headache after a power loss.In terms of surge and GFCI protection, I accidentally tested this feature and it works great. I had an old light with a frayed cord that was shorted out, and this power strip detected it and turned off… twice, because the first time I thought the power strip had died and tried turning it on again. Nope! It was doing its job perfectly to prevent a small electrical fire or electrocution event. It definitely gets five stars in my book after that.
