    Indoor cameras
    I purchased these along with the phone pads, which cost extra, to attach to my windows for 24 /7 Recording through the window to the outside. They work like a charm! I love these cameras. They work with an SD card also or you can record to cloud. They simply plug in the wall and attach them to your window to look out and record or use them indoors for a babies room or whatever! They work with an app, but they record 24 seven onto an SD card. If you’re attaching them to your window and turn off the infrared light! That’s important otherwise you’ll see red lights at night reflected on the glass. They’re wonderful cameras with a lot of options . And the best price is there affordable!

    Good quality cameras
    Eufy is a great security camera brand. They are simple and easy to set up, using the Eufy app is nothing difficult. They have good enough image quality to see people and other things in motions and live view, but I haven’t noticed a difference between this camera (2K resolution) and a normal Wyze camera (HD resolution). These cameras capture motions pretty accurately if you don’t hike up the sensitivity. Eufy is definitely keeping themselves competitive in the easy standalone security cameras market and this camera is testament to that.

    Good cameras for the price
    I like Eufy products and these cameras are great considering the cost. I picked them up on a Prime Day deal, but even at the regular price, they are a good value. I like the small form factor (it’s very discrete) and the 2k image quality is good. That said, their not perfect. The power cable protruding from the back can make placement and positioning challenging, but the real shortcomings are in the Eufy ecosystem. While you can record and store video to both the Homebase 3 or the cloud, you can only record in 2k on an SD card. Homebase 3 and cloud recordings are limited to 1080p, which I was unaware of at the time of purchase. Also, only storage is supported on Homebase 3 at this time. This camera cannot participate in automations or Homebase 3 mode changes (home/away/schedule etc….) at this time. Although, Eufy has announced additional Homebase 3 support in “late 2023”, so we’ll have to wait and see what that looks like. Nevertheless, for now it’s a essentially a stand alone camera with limited integration into Eufy’s latest Homebase.

    Works with HomeKit, here’s how to set it up…
    This is a good quality, budget camera that supports HomeKit Secure Video. But to use it with HomeKit, you must set it up using the Eufy Security app. Here’s how:1. Download the Eufy Security app from the App Store.2. Create an account.3. Select the option to Add a device.4. From the Device Family screen select Wired Camera, then select Indoor Cam.5. Plug in the camera and follow the onscreen instructions. The app will guide you through connecting the camera to your Wi-Fi network.6. When you get to the screen warning that there’s no microSD card detected, touch “Skip”.7. If a firmware update is available, touch “Update Now”. This may take several minutes.8. Read the mounting notes for your desired location, or touch “Skip”9. A live feed from your new camera will appear with three dots in the bottom right. Touch those dots, then touch the gear icon.10. Touch “General”, then touch “HomeKit Portal”. Touch “Add now”.11. Follow the on screen prompts.You can now use the Apple Home app to customize status and notifications, recording options etc. But it’s important to understand that HomeKit integration requires the Eufy Security app. If you disable Motion Detection in the Eufy Security app, motion detection will not work in the Home app. To avoid getting dual motion notifications (one from Eufy Security and one from Home), In Eufy Security go to Settings and select Notification. Deselect all notifications.

    Remarkable indoor cameras for the price
    We bought these prior to a vacation in order to be able to watch our cat and make sure she got fed. The cameras are small, light, and easy to attach to walls. The video quality is astonishing both day and night, and the audio really adds a sense of being there. Each camera can operate independently of any central hub, recording its clips onto a standard SSD card without uploading clips to the cloud. (I’ll leave to more tech-savvy reviewers to evaluate Eufy’s security issues around uploading thumbnails to the cloud. For my purposes Eufy’s system is secure enough.) I find the Eufy app easy to use: it allows you to review the feeds from your various cameras, turning them on and off as needed, setting motion detection and various other settings. Speaking of motion detection: it catches what it’s supposed to catch, can easily differentiate between a person and a pet. For me this is an excellent, modular, low-cost security solution that would be appropriate for most home or office applications.

    Doesn’t last, both cameras stopped recording audio
    There seems to be a known issue with these cameras of the audio suddenly not being captured. If you search the eufy subreddit for audio issues, you will see that this is a recurring problem. I reached out to customer support and they basically said, you’re out of warranty so we can’t help you. But “We are currently in the process of updating the firmware for our devices, which may address the audio issues you’ve been experiencing. We kindly ask for your patience as this update rolls out. “Who knows when that may be. Pity really, other than the audio issue, the video quality is quite good but I need both video and audio in order for the cameras to be serviceable.
