Supports 3-way and other multi-switch configurations when paired with up to four add-on switches – model 46199. Includes white and light almond paddles (wallplate not included). Works with dimmable LEDs and CFLs as well as incandescent, and halogen bulbs.
TRUSTED NETWORK – Zigbee 3. 0 is forward and backward compatible and does not use well-known network keys, which allows reliable, safe home automation. Certified device-to-device interoperability and a proven mesh network eliminate single points of failure while supporting large networks. Looks like a “normal” switch, works with Home Assistant.
This is what I’ve always expected from a “smart” device: It looks and works like a standard device. But it also connected to Home Assistant with almost no effort, it’s a Zigbee router, and I’ve got an IKEA remote on another wall for on/off operation of the switch that’s located behind the door (always been a pain, that one). Haven’t gotten dimming working with the remote I have yet, just basic on/off; but Alexa and Google Assistant paired as soon as Home Assistant saw them. So they work like “normal” switches, they work with HA and the voice devices, and give entirely new functionality with no loss of manual usability.

Works as described. Great zigbee switch to pair with your echo
We installed a new chandelier and wanted to use Ecosmart bulbs so we could match our preferred light color preference and we could get the Edison clear glass bulbs. The smart bulbs for candelabra are not very pretty and our light fixture has exposed bulbs.I’ve been using Alexa for smart home control for years including lights and plugs but this was the first time I went to try a switch. The switch itself is very nice. The controls are solid. You push up to turn on and hold up to make it brighter, tap down to turn off and hold down to dim. Pretty easy. It also paired immediately with no issues. If you have a 3-way or 3-pole switch, make sure you buy the GE add-on switch. 3-way/pole smart switches behave much differently than regular 3-pole switches. Do your homework and make sure you understand what you’re doing. You’ll probably want a voltage meter. My setup was a little confusing. I ended up on day one, just drawing out how the lines were configured since there are several different types of configurations. I then found a GE forum where someone took a lot of time to draw out proper install options for 3-pole switches in different configurations when using the enbrighten switches. This person saved me from having to hire an electrician or spend another whole day figuring out the wiring. Definitely check out both GE’s videos on youtube on how to install and then check out this forum: https://community.smartthings.com/t/faq-ge-3-way-wiring/74962?source_topic_id=101155My setup didn’t match the GE video which is why I had to go digging. At the end of the day, it works great and it’s done right.

Works great as a light switch, but ZIGBEE is not recognized by Philips Hue Hub so I can’t use it
This was one of the easiest smart switches I’ve installed so far. Not too deep, great back-connect screw-type connections (work fine with 12 gauge wire) with the ability to daisy chain, and even a rear-screw ground! But I bought it hoping that I could integrate it with my Philips Hue setup, and have the Hue Hub recognize it so I could use HUE multi-tap remotes to control the bathroom Vanity light that’s on this circuit. No Can Do.Even though it’s Zigbee 3.0, the Hue Hub just would not recognize it.I also tried using the Zigbee Hub in an EERO 6E with an Amazon Alexa smart hub, but the EERO couldn’t seem to find it either.I could probably get something like a Hubitat to connect to it, but I just don’t want to change over my whole system.I just want a wired wall switch that Philips Hue will recognize semi-natively so I can control the light over the vanity.I did not knock any stars off for not connecting to the Hue Hub, because they never promised it would. Otherwise, it’s a great product.Net-Net: I ended up going with some Matter based TP-Link switches and connected them to the Alexa hub, and used the Amazon hub to connect a Hue remote through the Hue Hub to control the bathroom lights. A kludge, but it works.

Absolutely terrible, 3 stopped working in a year.
Disconnects from Zigbee network once every few months ruining the experience, terrible bright BLUE led that shines at night which I had to put piece of electric tape over inside the case, within a year 3 stopped working and no longer join Zigbee network even after reset. Moreover — when they lose Zigbee network they stop reacting to physical touch and just stay on. Crazy bad.I try not to get any more Zigbee switches, Z-wave despite dying as standard is just much more reliable, Apple HomeKit is rock solid too.

Nice new smaller form factor and secure connections
I’ve used all three generations of GE Embrighten wall switches and this latest one has the best (smallest) form factor and simple easy to use wire connections. As for the Zigbee function, as usual it was quick to connect to my Hubitat Elevation hub and works perfectly. My only complaint is that is doesn’t remember the last used dimming setting so when I use the paddle to turn the switch back on, it goes to full brightness. That’s why I’ve rated it 4 stars instead of 5.

Great price, Easy to Add To Home Assistant (For Me)
I installed this in a non traditional way. So your mileage may vary. But I have had no issues as of yet. Home assistant found it quickly. And after binding it to the LED controller that is also connected to home assistant. I now have the ability to dim/brighten, on/off. I do wish I had a way to change the color temperature. But I didnt want to spend $50-$60 per light switch. So I just added a wireless button to the setup that controls different scenes. But all in all. I am very happy with this purchase. Next will be to purchase one more and the add on for 3 way control. For the price. Its a great way to get into smart switches without spending a ton of money.

I installed everything correctly, and the unit powers on. It WILL NOT pair with home assistant with Zigbee attachment.the light switch the unit is connected to is permanently “on” after install and no amount of pressing the paddle seems to affect anything.Just use a smart bulb. In the time it takes for you to burn them out, hopefully junk like this is unified via Matter.

To configure these you need to disable temporly 5Ghz band. Then not obvious with the native app and somehow Alexa will recognise it. From there, it works except for the add on switch. The native apps definately requires improvement.Sorry for not being more positive.

Dans notre cas nous avons des encastrés Arani et il y a un clignotement lorsqu’on diminue l’intensité de l’ampoule. Pour les autres ampoules ça fonctionne parfaitement.

Very basic dimmer switch, but it does what it’s supposed to do. Personally I prefer Inovelli or Zooz dimmers/switches. They cost a bit more but also have more functionality.

Just got my electricity redone and recessed lights installed and these will have them randomly flicker and will not be able to dim them at all even though they are dim to warm. Be it 1 bulb or 4, nothing works. There is also no way to change the mode or the high/low range that I know of and thus they are useless with these lights and I will have to switch to a basic lutron dimmer until I find a smart dimmer that works. They do work well with halogen, incandescent, Ikea basic LED exterior lights, Luminaire Authentik LED bulbs, etc.
