    Difficult to get connected to Wifi
    We hung these lights on the ceiling of our pool cabana. The Wifi router was about 8 ft away and it could not “see” it. I had to go through an odd sequence to reset it and ultimately moved the wifi router about 6 feet directly below it before I finally got it to communicate with Wifi. I was expecting the lights to be brighter. If you are directly under them the glow is ok, but not at a distance. We also have 16 of the cync wafer lights. The light shows are fun and they work with the other Cync lights. Your Wifi signal is very important to be strong.

    Fall off wall
    These keep falling off my kids wall immediately after opening box and sticking them on. Any tips?

    Mounted under deck railing, looks great at night!
    Be aware that these are not exceedingly bright (you cannot tell they are on in full daylight). At night they are perfect. Also note that should you extend them there is a 6 inch cable between the segments, so not a seamless look unless you loop the extra behind. Super important to lay it out before putting the clips in place. Also note that you use screws to attach the clips, so you will be putting holes in whatever you attach the strips to.

    Wouldn’t connect with the Cync app at all. =(
    This is a nice set of name brand GE LED RGB string lights. They’re supposed to be able to be controlled by the GE Sync app on your mobile phone, however I was never able to get it connected no matter how many times I followed the instructions on how to “reset” the lights and try to find them on the Cync app. Horribly disappointed. Fortunately the lights do come with a built-in controller on the end of the string, so I have the ability to manually turn them on and off, change the colors and change the lighting patterns.I have them set up in my office to provide some decent mood/ambiance lighting. I do wish the string was brighter though so you can’t really use it for main lighting, only for accent lighting really.The lights are directional, meaning they don’t light up 360 degrees around the string. One side of the string has a plastic/rubber/silicon base, presumably for mounting this on the wall/ceiling/etc. So if you get it turned around, the light can be pointed the wrong way and it’ll look off. It took me a minute to figure out why I had dead spots along the way I mounted the lights before I figured out the directionality.You may want to get the non-app controlled version of these string lights to avoid the hassle of struggling with an app. I wish mine worked though, it would be nice to be able to control it remotely with my phone… =(

    the quality of the item was amazing! each color was vibrant in its own way and the movements were great, but the only thing that upset me was there wasn’t an adapter to hook up other lights to it. no biggie, you would just have to order them yourself!

    Read all the reviews about designs and the difficulty of transferring it to the wall. I taped the template to the wall, hung the anchors, pulled the template, and got the light up fairly easy. Music Show feature is pretty fun too 🙂
