    BTF consistently delivers great products, and this controller is no exception. I already own several BTF controllers, all of which work flawlessly. The accompanying app is intuitive and makes setup and operation straightforward.I currently use this controller for a light strip around my door, serving as a clever way to signal my roommates if I’m available. It’s been reliable and efficient for that purpose.     Decent controller and remote, Lacks a little in the set up dept.
    I’ve messed about with LED light setups for a while now and when I came across this bundle of a controller and a remote I had to try it.First of all I’ll say that the set up is not that straightforward, it doesn’t tell you how to pair the remote with the unit. When you know how it’s pretty straightforward, but the instructions weren’t very clear, I didn’t care for the controller instructions, the print was too small for me and the layout didn’t really flow. I don’t much care for using apps to control my lights which Is why I went with this option with the separate remote control.The remote is pretty simple in it’s layout, it does require 2 AAA batteries that are not included and if you are wondering where the mounting hardware is for the bracket, it’s in the battery compartment. Setting the remote to work with the controller took a bit of figuring out, you have to press the Set button on the LED controller and wait for the Red light to come on, once it does, choose a zone On button you wish to pair it with on the remote and press the Zone On button 3 times in succession. The attached LEDs will then flash to indicate it’s been paired successfully.One thing I noticed after pairing with the remote was that the color wheel does not correspond to the correct color output of the LEDs, this means you will probably need to install the app to fix this if it bothers you. I intend on using this for solid colors only and the remote works perfectly for that. If you need to install the app, be aware that it will ask you to enter your WiFi networks password.The controller is nice and compact and works well, I’m running several short 5v LED strips and I’m powering the controller with a 5v 6amp power supply which works well my setup. It’s nice that the unit has the ability to also work with matching 12v and 24v setups. The LEDs appear nice and bright. Hooking up the led controller is simple, you have 2 methods of attaching your PSU, bare wires or by using a barrel connector. Once the power is there you just hook up your strip at the other end. There are 2 data outputs along with 2 V+ and 2 V- outputs, but I believe both of the data channels are tied together and don’t operate independently of each other, which is a shame.Overall for what I need this for it will work great and for 35.99 which is the price at time of my review I feel that this is pretty good value for money. I just wish it had been a bit easier to setup and the instructions had been a bit clearer.

    Great app controls!
    The controls built into the Smart Life app are excellent! You can tell it how many pixels/LEDs are in the strip for fine control, the color correction is intuitive, and the pre-configured color modes are very nice! I do wish there was a way to do custom color animations, but the variety of included ones is good enough for nearly any application.The fact that the device runs on low voltage is also nice, as it opens up different possibilities of using it for various projects where having it hook to mains power is inconvenient or unwise.Integration with Google Home is limited though. You can turn it on and off and set the solid color through the Google Home app or voice commands, but you can’t change the animations. I don’t know if this is a shortfall in the Smart Life app, Google, or the integration between the two. But it does work well outside of this minor flaw.

    One of the absolute best RGB-SPI remotes and controllers on the market!
    I personally LOVE that there are two (2) SPI outputs on this one controller. This allows for truly flexible lighting, as I had separate CCW and RGB strips being used. The remote easily pairs and fully controls the SPI controller. I was able to feed 24vdc without any issues, and I also LOVE that there are both plug and pigtail wiring options for power inputs. The microphone actually works well too, although that wasn’t a primary function I was looking for. Simple and quick pairing with SmartLife app too. This remote easily controls multiple zones of lighting, which is another reason I was excited for this. Zero issues, insane value at this price, and top notch hardware and controller. Easily one of the best combo sets on Amazon that I’ve found yet.

    Works well!
    BTF makes some great lighting products and this is more of the same. I tried this out with a few different LED strips and I like the results. The remote for the controller is the big draw for me here. It was pretty easy to pair per the included instructions. I’ve got it mounted on my wall now with the included hardware. I love the touch wheel — it’s very responsive and very cool! I like it better than using my cellphone because guests now have access to my lighting controls too.
