The 5M LED strip has 3600pcs LEDs and 100pcs WS2811 ICs. They are organized in groups of 36 LEDs with 1 IC. 1 IC controls 36 LEDs. Each group/5cm segment (not each LED) can be controlled individually.

Does this LED strip include a power supply? To let it work, what power supply you recommend?

No, it comes without power supply. To let it work, we recommend ALITOVE 12V 5A power supply and WS2811 controller. If the power supply is too small, the led strip will blink at random.

Can I use it outdoor? Is it waterproof?

No, it is not waterproof. We don’t recommend you to use it outdoor. If you must, please buy waterpoof version LED strip.

Can I cut it into several short Led strips? The short strips can still work?

Yes, you can cut it along the cutting line on the FPCB board. The short strips can still work. But you need to use weld-free connectors or solder electric wires on the soldering point.

Nice and bright. But not for a novice DIY’r..
These leds are bright. However, this isn’t for a novice DIY’r. The solder points are too close to the leds. Making it very difficult to solder any wires to them. Other than that, they do look amazing.

Fewer feet than I anticipated, but good lights
I see now that the title mentions how many feet are in this pack, but it didn’t mention that when I ordered. I expected more, so it was disappointing. However, they’re pretty good lights. They’re bright and stick to the wall well. I just wish I had more to work with. I don’t think it’s worth the price, either. You can get a hundred feet for much cheaper elsewhere.

Great color, decent value
Hooked this up to an old 1st gen Arduino Uno and put it through a number of tests with the FastLED library and it handled everything well and looked great. Good density and length for the cost as well.

Did not receive the adapter even while selecting that option
I ordered 2 strings of lights. One that was supposed to be with the adapter and controls and one where there is just the string of lights and I received only the string of lights for both.

Includes everything for a quick, easy install!
I got this ALITOVE LED Light Strip because I had a couple of ideas for adding light strips, but wanted to get something that was all in one with an AC plug, switch, and a remote for the easiest possible usage without having to get too deep into controllers and things. Having an app was fine, but was really looking for something that could do most things without the use of the app so I can sit down, click a button and enjoy. This one really came through.When I first got this, I was planning on doing something in my workout area, but ultimately got a floor standing light, so I sat on these for a while trying to figure out the best project to use them. Eventually, I landed on a common one which was using them on the back of my TV for an RGB back light. The length was perfect for this application and I knew it would be an place where I would be able to appreciate it often.These stuck really well to the TV and only took a few minutes to get them in place. Then I simply clicked in the connector, plugged in the AC adapter, and they came up. I cleaned up my wires and used some double stick tape to stick the switch to the back of the TV. The remote works without direct line of sight to the controller, so it works from my couch. I can cycle through static colors or dynamic effects with just the remote. I’ve left it on one which is kind of an Aurora Borealis color scheme with slow smooth transitions. It looks awesome and it remembers my last setting every time I turn off and on.This does have a companion app, Banlanx, and I downloaded it to see how it worked with the product. This review is for the hardware, not the app, but including some important info here for those who are interested. The app connects easily to the device and allows you to access a ton more effects, custom colors, and set your own effects. The interface is good and it works well. My issue with the app is that it REQUIRES microphone access. Even if you allow it and turn it off it won’t let you reconnect to the device. Personally I don’t like this and if I planned on using the app, I’d be pretty upset. Since this works perfectly with the remote alone and no app is really needed, I deleted it and will continue to enjoy it as a regular device.Overall I am very happy with this and if you are looking for an all in one purchase to get a strip light with remote and don’t want to have to match light strips, controllers, etc. then this is a great choice. It’s a nice strip that sticks well and works fantastic. If you’re looking for something more advanced or plan on using the app, see the notes above and look into the app that works with this to make sure that works for you as well. I’m happy with this as a standalone device and would recommend it. If I was looking for a more connected system, I’d go with something with a more mainstream app.

I love the uniform look to this light strip. No need for any diffusion to make it look uniform, it just is with the use of COB LEDs. All you need is an adequate power supply (12v 5amp) and a WS2811 LED controller. Luckily I had both of these on hand and was able to test this strip. It does not disappoint. It looks great and I’m looking forward to installing it behind my desk to give a nice neon glow onto the wall. It doesn’t address each LED individually bit rather in small groups, but still looks great nonetheless. I would recommend these to anyone looking for this kind of uniform LED strip, and at 16+ feet, you have a decent length to work with. Just make sure you get a power supply with proper voltage & enough amperage, and a decent WS2811 controller and you are off to the races!

Der LED stripe funktioniert gut mit meinem WLED Controller allerdings war ich ein wenig enttÃ¤uscht das mehrere LEDs als Gruppe angesteuert werden. Durch den COB wirkt es zwar trotzdem homogen aber nicht wirklich besser als bei 60 LED/m.
