Can I connect Nanoleaf Shapes with the Nanoleaf Light Panels or Nanoleaf Canvas?
No, the Nanoleaf Shapes are not compatible with Light Panels or Canvas. You can connect any shapes together – Hexagons, Triangles,& Mini Triangles. All of our products can operate together in the Nanoleaf App even if they’re not physically connected.
How panels are mounted to the wall? Will they damage my wall?
Mount your panels with the included double-sided tape onto any smooth and flat surface. When you mount them, leave the ends of the tape sticking out from the Mounting Plate so you can pull them along the wall later for a safe and easy removal.
Are Nanoleaf lights waterproof?
No, Nanoleaf products are NOT waterproof or water resistant. Our lights and adhesives are not designed to be exposed to high levels of humidity, and are therefore not recommended to be placed in washrooms, near the sink in kitchens, or outdoors.
What is the difference between a Smarter Kit and an Expansion Pack?
Every Nanoleaf Smarter Kit has everything you need to set up the lights. It includes a Controller and a Power Supply unlike Nanoleaf Expansion Packs. An Expansion Pack is an addition to a Smarter Kit which cannot be used without owning a Smarter Kit.
What is the maximum amount of panels that will work with the included 42W Power Supply?
The maximum amount of panels per included Power Supply is 22 for the Hexagons, 28 for the Triangles, and 77 for the Mini Triangles. If you are ever in doubt, check out the PSU Calculator on our website.

REALLY well built & great price – but flawed 🙁
TLDR: This is a great light and the price is a steal, however the claimed CRI color was way off on my unit.PROS:1. Build quality. I’ll say it to anyone, for the most part this is way better built than my 2x more expensive Amarans. Almost everything seems truly solid, well thought out, and packaged in a case that isn’t overly cramped. You can shake this light when it’s on the frame and it wont fly off, unlike some Amaran units!2. Output. This thing cranks. Really great output levels, again better than Amaran.3. Design. Overall attention to detail on everything from the light unit, softbox, stitching, eggcrate, even to the carrying case. A really solid item, not flimsy or cheap.CONS:1. LED Color quality! Claimed CRI nowhere near true…(Slight) green cast at all settings, not as bad @3200 but honestly unusable for me on any lighting of people. Attached pics may or may not show this due to Amazon’s image file compression. For those of you wondering, the green cast was between 1/8 – 1/4 Magenta needed to correct, depending on the temperature setting. Yes I checked to see if perhaps the included diffusion was to blame, but it matched the Amaran gridcloth. Anyway, dealbreaker.2. Seemingly bad wire from the ballast to the wall outlet. Didn’t work on first few tries but when I kept jiggling that seemed to fix it. This is the one piece of the unit that is easily replaceable (standard type of cord), but it didn’t inspire confidence. I don’t want to be in front of clients jiggling the cord to make this thing work when it’s on a menace arm 12 feet above talent.Hated to send this back because for the most part it was a fantastic unit, just not up to standards I needed it to meet.
